I handed my mri orders to the front desk ladies at KCH on a Friday. I've had orders sent here before and it takes 1-3 days for insurance approval and the hospital did great getting it done before. This time, I called the following Tuesday. I was told it was submitted and they are waiting. Okay. I waited until Friday, 1 week since alleged submission. Again, I was told they were submitted, that it takes some time to get approved and that they were waiting on "clinicals" from my physician. Didn't make sense to me, but I let it sit, went to my doctors appt the next week, and he was not happy that it was not done and didn't know what they were talking about with the "clinicals". I called my insurance company, they checked and rechecked and found no submission. So, I called KCH a 3rd time. This time I was told it was submitted and that it takes a long time to be approved. She told me that an order allegedly submitted in July for another patient was just approved, 5 months later?! I left it at that, went on vacation, came back and called my insurance again. Still nothing submitted. So, I called the hospital and was put on hold for 35 minutes before I hung up and I called back. She put the phone down this time so no annoying music, came back about 5 minutes later and told me they WERE NOT submitted yet, that the girl who takes care of this has been out sick for a very long time, and that since my insurance is based out of Idaho they would have to physically mail the request in, so it will take a while to get approval. At this point, I had been waiting for over 3 1/2 weeks, a new year has started, and I had been lied to 4 times. So, I called my physician who submitted them right away and I had an appointment set up within hours. And, to top off the lying, I just received a call from KCH wanting to finally set up the mri, 2 days after she just told me they had to be mailed in for approval. That's an awful quick turnaround for the usps. I can honestly say I've never had so much trouble with Kane county hospital before. They have always been kind and very helpful. I don't like that I was literally lied to so many times and for so long. If orders are being sat on for that long and apparently even up to 5 months, people aren't being helped that may really need it and because they screwed around with mine, it's going on this years insurance instead of last years when it would have been fully covered. The sad part is, all they had to do was either submit them or tell me the truth as to why they weren't, so I could get it done...
Read moreDec. Of 2022 I came in to be seen for a blood pressure issue That's caused by anxiety problem And dr Allen Was the rudest doctor I've ever seen. Absolutely did not want to listen to me and got frustrated with me because I was having a hard time breathing explaining to him what was going on which he didn't want to listen to anyways. Tells me well I can take the blood pressure standing up if you would like I said yes he said well I'm not gonna do nothing if you're gonna act like that and started yelling at me. He was inside to rush did not want to listen and has the worst bedside manner I've ever seen. My advice If you're dying, Stay home. I have also seen doctor Holandshead and dr bowman. And they are absolutely amazing 5 stars all the way across, But doctor Allen strongly extremely strongly do...
Read moreI went to the ER because I was having horrible pain in my lower abdomen. When I got there, nobody really knew what they were doing. The doctor was rude and acted like me being there was an inconvenience for him. They gave me pain meds through an IV, did an ultrasound- which they gave up on because everything was "shadowed", and then gave me a prescription for what they thought "might be a problem" after telling me that I was in pain because of diabetes. Sorry, but no. The doctor just kept acting like he wanted to get out of there. I felt like he cut a lot of corners, and just gave me a couple of prescriptions just so that he could be done and go home. If you're not going to take the time to take real care of your patients, don't...
