Wow, I am not surprised to see all of the one star reviews on here after my experience with this place. I do not know if "Hated" is the word by I was completely dissatisfied with my experience at this shop and the antidote is one star. I am not one to write negative reviews, I consider myself to be generally a positive person, but as a retail manager myself, I believe in customer protection and most of all customer satisfaction. Please continue to read.
Scenario: As a first time customer I proceeded to seek out this store to replace the band on my luminox recon watch. My first impression was that the man running the shop had a poor and unfriendly attitude, maybe one of an arrogant tycoon type. I felt uncomfortable, like I had to choose my words wisely in his presents. I looked past his attitude and possible cultural differences and proceeded to purchase the sixty dollar band. I left the store and went home with it that evening to find that the band was uncomfortable, very hard to take on and off, and the part that holds the tail end kept slipping out allowing the tail to stick out. I was not happy. I thought surely that something could be done, I stopped wearing the watch immediately, and pleasantly walked back in for help less that twenty four hours later.
After politely explaining my discomfort I was immediately met with "all sales are final." He then said the sign by the register was his proof. This was I sign that I had not previously seen. I thought, interesting, as I first time customer this was not communicated to me directly. I was given no formal receipt during the initial purchase with the policy stated, all I was given was a credit card slip. He said that once you walk out of the store it can not be returned. As I continued to plead my discomfort he met me with,"Well that is the original band to the watch." Even though it was different from the one I previously had on my watch. He went as far as to say that he could smell that the band was used even though I had not wore the watch but for minutes. That was ridiculous. Even still I was respectful to this man, but he refused to work with me in any way. He would not let me exchange, have store credit, or any of the above. I really felt shammed.
I politely told him that I was going to have to write a negative review and he really did not seem to care one bit. I asked to speak with the owner and he told me that it was not a matter that concerned the owner and came at me with more policy. After I said again that I would like to speak with the owner he proceeded to tell me, " I am the owner, you can tell me." I found that interesting as well. I took out the business card he gave me at an earlier time and he had the gull to take if from my hands saying that I would not need it anymore. I was really appalled by this move but continued to maintain composer. Now with the old band back on I am out sixty dollars, customer satisfaction is obviously not the primary objective of this facility.
Summary: I do not wish harm on anyone, but jewelry store's are a dime a dozen, this man was acting as if he was the only one in town. Considering my review, plus the others on here, I strongly suggest taking your business elsewhere to avoid customer dissatisfaction.
P.S: Joey Ahmed, the only person to give the shop five stars, is an employee at this facility. I saw his name on the business card before it was taken...
Read moreI have lived around the globe (literally), and have dealt with all sorts of different people. This guy was the worst, most dishonest scumbag you can imagine! Spare yourself the time, and the hassle, and take your money and your business elsewhere. I took my Tissot watch to replace the battery. He replaced the battery, but didn't close the back of the (waterproof) watch . So.... I went swimming, and unfortunately just then noticed that the backing wasn't tight, and the watch was full of water. I took the watch back the next day, and he agreed to repair it as the face of the watch was now rusty in spots - really visibly unsightly. I came to pick it up a week later, but the face wasn't cleaned, just the battery was changed and the watch was running (for a little while). I demanded the watch needs to be brought to its original state. He got into an argument with my husband, and after a bit of yelling and shouting agreed to send it to Tissot for repair (ha ha....). He had the watch in for over 2 months, and after I insisted we go pick it up, we called the shop, and the manager told us it just arrived from Tissot, but they couldn't repair it, because it is an old watch, and they didn't have facing available any more. What he didn't know is that I still have the original receipt from the purchase (something I never got from his store), the original price tag, and the original box of my Tissot, which was only 1 year and 4 months old at that time. So it wasn't hard to call Tissot repair center, and check it out. Not surprising, Tissot has never received anything from store No. 740 in Katy, TX, which is also not authorized to repair Tissot watches. Not even an authorized retailer. Tissot repair centers are the only ones authorized to repair their watches, and there are only 3 repair centers in the US. I have never been involved in any kind of litigation, but boy, this time I'm really tempted to make it...
Read moreJust happened to visit this store for replacement batteries on 6 different watches. The guy Suhail perhaps the owner, negotiated the cost which I agreed with. He said one hour and I was okay with that. I simply asked his name and he took offense of that. Suggested to start trusting as now I was in America and started behaving in a very offensive manner. I asked him to return my watches as I wasn’t really pleased with his aggressive behavior. Well, to my surprise and utter disbelief he threw away my watches and one of the watches was already opened and I lost some of the parts of that. He threatened me and almost going to hit me but sanity prevailed at the end and he stopped. And kept saying that he will call the cops on me. All his happened unfortunately, in front of my 10 year old son who was with me. Very unfortunate that I have to write this review but I must warn people, specially from my background (desi American ) to watch out this freakish character. I am really saddened by this ugly encounter. And I will never forget that he made my innocent child cry for no reasons at all.
Just saw his response below. Cannot believe that this guy could be this low of a character. Blaming a 10 year old kid trying rings. What rings? He should have the security camera recording and I hope he doesn’t tamper with it. I am intended to take him to court now that he is playing this stupid and pathetic game. This guy needs to be out of business. He cannot just go about and intimidate...
