I'm not one to write reviews, but had to because these guys really shocked us with their selection and service. They had the exact rock tumbler we wanted in stock (that no one else had) at the lowest price by far, and an incredible selection of crushed rock. We've got a budding rock hound kiddo that's been cooped up thanks to this pandemic, and these guys shipped us almost 60 pounds of awesome for 40 bucks in less than 2 business days to Nevada. Everything arrived in great order, and the rocks were truly above average. I made the (great) mistake of calling my shots on ordering a selection of rocks that I knew my kid was interested in assuming that their "medium mix" assorted rocks that I bought with our tumbler would be subpar. Turns out that their mix has a fantastic and varied selection of rocks (definitely more on the 1-1.25" average) rather than the sad reject quartz and jasper chips I'm used to. Also, the specific varieties I ordered were excellent, premium samples as advertised. Our little one is beside herself selecting what's going in to the first batch of tumbling. Anyone willing to explain to her it's like a 6 week process??... The Rock Shed would get 6 stars if they offered...
Read moreI was looking for a pair of bookends, probably cut from a geode, when I came across the Rock Shed's web site. I had never considered labradorite, not having seen an example of that stone, until I spotted a stunning set of bookends in their inventory. I called the shop and spoke to a very knowledgeable young man, who was familiar with the product and assured me that these bookends were a superb example of labradorite. He took my credit card information, figured the very reasonable shipping charges, and said he would pack up my purchase that afternoon or the next morning and ship it to me.
When the bookends arrived and I managed to extricate them from their very secure wrapping, I was just blown away. The quality of the stone is, as promised, superb. The intensity of the colors and the translucent appearance that allows you to see beneath the surface are breathtaking. I've been to Madagascar and must have seen labradorite in one of the gift shops I visited, but I've never seen anything to compare with these bookends.
If you aren't a rockhound but love geology, visit the Rock Shed, online or in person. You'll be...

I am myofascial specialist for people in chronic pain located in Bismarck, North Dakota. I am so deeply grateful to have my small business survive while so many business had to close their doors. A friend sent me a Facebook market place link showing an orthopedic massage table in Rapid City for an unbelievable price. My beautiful cathedral amethyst is coming to my pain relief clinic. To my utter shock Keystone is celebrating 50 years and nearly did not survive it's first year. Celebrating deeply my heart is so full of appreciation. (I lost mother in 2018. This event is truly...
