We had some issues. We were assigned a room, given a key card, but once we walked into the room, there was a man in there sleeping. This was worrisome, especially for the 2 kids that I had with me. The guy at the front desk apologized, found us a new room and walked us to it to make sure it was empty. The light switch in the new room didn’t work but there were lamps that could be turned on from them so it was fine once that was done. At some point the AC stopped working. Someone was sent up to fix it and I was told that if it didn’t work, we could get a new room. It worked for a few hours but stopped again. Had it “fixed” again, but 2 hours later it was not working. The kids were honestly freaked out about changing rooms and “being assigned a room with strangers” or having someone walk in the room while we were sleeping because of our experience that first night. Changing rooms was not an option because they felt unsafe doing so but felt okay in our room after the first 2 nights, so we dealt with no AC rather than asking for a new room. We were supposed to stay for 6 nights but only made it 5 bc of the AC. Was not able to get that extra night refunded though i asked. I will also point out that in other reviews, I saw people complaining about room size. My thought was that all hotel rooms are small. These are smaller than any hotel I have ever stayed in, so be prepared for less space than what you think it will be. Also, we had a room that was on the outside wall and you could hear everything outside, cars pulling up, people walking around, every outside noise which made sleeping difficult. Parking is difficult at times but we were able to find a spot, even if down the way a little. It was not as clean as one would like it, especially the outside hallway and railing. There was mud all over the railing so you wouldn’t want to touch it. Those outside carpets were not cleaned while we were there and it looks like it has been a long time since they have been cleaned. With all of that said, it wasn’t a horrible stay. Some of the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The rest were okay enough. It was also in a pretty convenient location with cell service (this is important bc there is no cell service in a lot of the area). I would not recommend this hotel and suggest looking at some of the others...
Read moreIf I could give zero I would. They cancelled my reservation because I had a cat with me. Ok I get it you don't allow cats, but here is my issue, they called me at 3:43pm day of check-in trying to say the "just got" my reservation details (which I put on there I would have a cat with me). I don't believe they would have just gotten them 43min after check-in starts. Also they kept telling me they were giving me plenty of notice for the cancel... what?? I was to check-in that day. Once again I have the call log that says they called me at 3:43pm. So someone is lying. The manager Lisa or Nisa, I'm not sure I couldn't hear well because I was driving through Canada at the time, was not helpful in fact she was the one who said we gave plenty of notice.. (once again it was 3:43pm) I have multiple emails for when I booked the room, a week prior by the way, stating they received my room and my requests about having pets. I did get snippy with them because I was literally driving to them, I was in Canada, and also I booked the hotel a WEEK prior. When I told her I would be contacting and leaving reviews, her response was"there is no need for that, we gave you plenty of notice" Really... 343pm the day of.. yeah plenty of notice. So even though they represent as a "pet friendly" hotel, know they pick and chose what pets are allowed. I have been traveling from Alaska to the lower 48, staying at a lot of Wyndham locations but I am now looking at different hotel chains due to how I was treated with this location. Right now I am currently still trying to get my refund.. FYI I have no problem with hotels choosing to not allow pets or even certain pets, it was the fact that I made the reservation a week prior and they waited to contact me to cancel the day of, in the afternoon, 43 min after their check in, and tell me they "just got" my...
Read moreThis is the worst Ramada I have ever stayed in. The room was clean and the beds were comfy but it stops there. The WiFi was not user friendly. The pools water was ice cold and cloudy. The hot tub was out of order and the water was brown. When I asked when the hot tub would be working I was told “I don’t know” this was the standard answer from anyone working the front desk. When asked when a manager would be available to talk to... you guessed it ”I don’t know”. The fitness center is closed do to COVID-19 yet the website advertised they have one and there was no mention of anything being closed or out of order. When I finally found the general managers office and asked for some sort of compensation for all of these inadequate amenities I was told NO! I told him this was the worst fbomb Ramada I have ever stayed in. I was then told to leave. I asked for the owners name and contact information and was again told to leave or he would call the police. He refused to give me any information regarding the owner contact or his own name. I then grabbed his business card from the holder on his desk and said I will get the info on my own and left. The General Manager is Jim Sellars. He is General Manager of Presidential Hospitality, LLC. I subsequently learned the Owner is a Tim Johnson and will contact him and the BBB when I obtain Mr. Johnson’s contact information. Ironically all of our room keys continually deactivated throughout our stay after contacting the general manager. A minor annoyance since the front desk was steps away but still a childish display of power for a...
