Art Box — Attraction in Las Vegas

Seriously disappointed. We started going to this store when it first opened maybe 6 years ago. The owner would be carving some piece of jade or other material and would stop and talk with us while we looked at all the really cool, unique stuff in the store made by local artists or jewelry makers. The items were always interesting and varied. The prices seemed fair for hand man items. His wife would individually paint the bags used to hold whatever i bought, which was usually alot! Sunday, Dec 11 we went back to a drastically differentirely store. Alot of 3d printed items, silly over priced wooden hearts and WAY too expensive pieces of jewelry. If there was ever a hidden gem of a boutique in Las Vegas, it’s Art Box in Container Park! The owners were a delight to work with, even holding a piece for me until I could make it back in town to pick it up. The owner Tom is very cool, and a super down to earth guy, that makes supporting this local business all the more worthwhile. Art Box is almost immediately to the right as you walk into Container Park on Fremont. The owner hand carves the most brilliant pieces of jade and other exotic gems. Art Box really has an impressive selection of local artists finds from jewelry to accessories. Whether you are local or just here on vacation, there’s a magical find waiting for you at Art Box on Fremont....

This place is great! If you take the time to wander a few blocks up Freemont Street, you get to the Container Park. Just turn right and you are in one of the best places to buy souvenirs in Vegas - if you don't want to spend $30 on the same casino t-shirt everyone else has.

All of the artists are local. The owner is cool. And the prices are reasonable. I am so glad I walked into this place. There is something for everyone in every price range. A refreshing change to the rest of the packaged, basic...
