Backstage Bar & Billiards — Local services in Las Vegas

So I went to this venue and the venue was great. Unfortunately they allowed an event night called "disco transmission". I bought tickets for this event and was looking forward to it as well as supporting this local event. I wrote a previous post about this night. I just received a reply to that comment by this venue saying they did everything they could to make the night successful even though they promised both go go dancers and performers. Well I get there around 11:30 thinking the entertainment had started already. There were 10 people there. . We, two friends of mine, which we all paid full price for this "event". Bought a couple of drinks and just thought they were behind. Well not one go go dancer, no entertainment and the DJ was literally teaching someone how to dj the whole time we were there. I don't see how they were trying to make the night any better. I used to promote my own club night in LA for 7 years and I would never allow that to happen. Now to receive a message from the venue itself trying to excuse the mess of a night is beyond me! I immediately requested a refund from the ticket seller and they have not heard anything from the promoters! Unbelievable! I would now never suggest going to this venue. The owner of this venue should know not to take the side of a failing and lieing promoter over...

I saw Otep here with my gf, it pained me that nobody would let my gf sit down because she was in so much pain walking around with a cane. We asked someone in the V.I.P. section they said no you can sit here. This was our first time going here so we were not aware that no seating was available at the bar etc. It wasn't until this guy with a hat and glasses grabbed my gfs hand and said sweetheart come with me and we were able to sit in the VIP section for the rest of the show. Whatever his name was we really appreciate you for letting us sit in that area it made me and my gfs night and we could enjoy the show. Security and the people in front rude as hell. For a tiny beer it was 10.00 the size of a soda can. Smoking is permitted outside. The lady in the bathroom excepted a tip for handing me a paper towel. I'm like I'm sorry but no but she does have a stand in the bathroom of sanitary items if necessary. We had a good time and really appreciated the dude with the hat and glasses. This venue is not properly trained and do not have proper protocol for injuries or medical emergencies. My husband and I went to the ska festival last year. He lost consciousness multiple times in the venue, hitting his head each time he lost consciousness. Security didn’t help. Myself and attendees carried him out of the venue. I was yelling at security to call 911, that he was not on drugs and not drinking, this was a serious medical emergency. Did they call 911? No. Did they help at all? No. Did they even offer us a bottle of water? No. I went and got my car, pulled to the front and loaded him in my car by myself to go to the ER. He was diagnosed with diabetes that night and his blood sugar was at a fatal level. He could have died. I work in live event production and this is a big issue. It is their responsibility to assist in these situations. They are opening themselves up to be sued one...
