I do a lot of restaurant reviews in las Vegas and some deserve praise and some donât. âThe Parlourâ deserves my highest praise in all categories. I was surprised to find this Gem tuck in on Carson street between 6th & 7th street, (616 East Carson, #140, Las Vegas, NV.) If you only have one day in Vegas as a Tourist or as local looking for a beyond expectations breakfast, (And some times dinner on Thurs - Sat) THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO TO. The vibe is funky but with touches of items brought from homes of the employees. Very, cool and complete with a âLeg lampâ in the front window, (Christmas story.) I digress; My server was Roger. After a brief intro, he went on to tell me the history of The Parlour. I will save the reader that story but it is fascinating nonetheless. On to the food. It is a âscratch kitchen,â everything made to order with ultra fresh ingredients. I had the signature âParlour breakfast sandwich" with an included small salad. WOW OH WOW ! This blew my mind as it was the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had, period, (Cheddar & Munster, Italian Chili, over med eggs, bacon, smashed in between wheat bread; See pix.) I do visit other scratch kitchens in the area and although do a great breakfast, this is one step up. price; Most restaurants have raised their prices but for whatever reason, The Parlour has low priced their dishes. $14 for my meal plus $4 for the best cup of coffee hands down. *Side note: I am a coffee snob and roast my own beans and my Jura machine is industrial but.....The coffee here is superb and I will drive to the source for the beans. The included pictures here are of my âParlourâ sandwich and a "Tacos Huevos,â (eggs, poblano, avocado, macerated onions, potatoes, cream, salsa) that another customer had and was gracious to allow the photo.
Summary: I have been dining here in las Vegas for 15 years and go out of my way to discover new and exciting restaurants and write unbiased reviews. I am very critical and hold my opinion to a very high standard, (see my other restaurant reviews.) The Parlor deserves 5 stars in Food, Atmosphere, service, hands down the best breakfast I have had in a while. *There is a sister restaurant, âThe Parlor,â (Same menu and more) in Henderson but google maps is not up to date. The sister restaurant can be found in Google maps as âThe Kitchenâ (Former restaurant at the address. It is at 1716 W. Horizon Pkwy #100, Henderson, NV.
This restaurant should be on your radar for your next outing for sure!
PS: They are open at night on Thurs - Sat and and have throwback prices AKA as âBleep inflation.â Example; Homemade Burger &...
Read moreI've contemplated on how to go about this review as I want to be fair but honest. We consider ourselves foodies and we're excited to find this place. I will start with it's not a sit down and be served which no biggie. The ladies were all very nice and efficient. We ordered the Meximosa and Arnold Palmer, corned beef and hash and the chicken fried steak. I'm allergic to eggs and so I usually give them to my husband I wasn't told they'd be on top of my steak under all the gravy. I ordered them over hard so no risk of the yolk breaking when taking them off my plate but they still came over easy. My fault for not asking so I just got them off the best I could. Our drinks were not good, the palmer tasted almost grapefruit like and the Meximosa was supposed to be mango and it just tasted like cheap champagne with tajin and chamoy. My husband said the corned beef was about a 7 but the rest of his plate was meh. My CFS was dry and pretty bland, the gravy and potatoes were really good. The biscuits oh man. I'd rather chew on sand they were so dry. For the price ($54) and we always tip well($20) we don't feel like it was worth half of what we paid. Not gross but not good. All the food coming out looked amazing but lacked major flavor. We likely will not return. Edit to add because I forgot, the smell when you first walk in was far from pleasant. Not their fault I don't believe but it was not good. It seems to be worse by...
Read moreIâll start by stating that Iâm thoroughly disappointedâŠdisappointed that we found this place on our last day of vacation in Vegas which prevented us from eating here multiple times!
Quirky, quaint, a few blocks from downtown, but most importantly excellent food and coffee! Styled as a cozy social sitting room with a few retro games and fun decor - love the American Psycho art! Fun music piped in, not too loud so that you can still hold great conversation.
I ordered the huevos rancheros overflowing with eggs, chorizo, cheese, onions and salsa on a bed of corn tortillas! The chef asked me first how spicy I wanted it, which I greatly appreciated. I chose medium, next time, Iâll opt for spicy đ¶ïž
The hubby ordered Ronaldâs Breakfast, the super sized edition. Iâd ask him how it was, but he ate it so quickly, Iâm not sure he tasted it đ€Ș just kiddingâŠhe ate it so quickly because it was just.that.good! English muffin stuffed with over medium eggs, cheese, sausage, and hash browns served on a bed of potatoes.
Service was excellent! The two guys at the counter were super friendly and accommodating. It was obvious it was our first time here, so they jumped right in to explain the menu and what types of coffee we could order.
We will be back in Vegas later this year for a birthday celebration, and The Parlour will make the list of must eats for our group! Thank you for an...
