I went to Vegas in early September of 2022 and had wanted to get a tattoo while there. After much consideration I settled on LV Tattoo, not only because of the location but also because of the incredible artists and reviews they had. Chris T. Did mine, and I could not have imagined it coming out any better. Super professional and was able to work with me in every way possible. Clean environment and even gave me great advice on tattoo aftercare. Overall it was an incredible experience and will be the only place I go to get a tattoo. If your considering getting a tattoo in Vegas, you’ve found the place.
EDIT:
I returned to this shop in July 2025 to continue work on a sleeve after loving the first pieces I got here. I booked months in advance, paid a deposit, and even sent reference photos of what I had in mind. Unfortunately, when I arrived, Chris didn’t seem to know about my appointment and didn’t remember me or the previous work he had done. That was disappointing, but I still trusted his ability and wanted to move forward.
My appointment was at 3 p.m., but it took nearly three hours before we even started tattooing. I expected a design to be prepared ahead of time since that’s what I was told when booking, but instead, everything was planned the day of. Because of this, time ran short—I had plans at 10 p.m.—and I had to stop the session around 9:30. Chris suggested I return the next day to finish, advising me to leave the tattoo wrapped with ointment until then. He said he’d unwrap and clean it at the next session. Trusting his guidance, I followed those instructions exactly.
The next day we finished the tattoo. It was painful, but I liked the design and left feeling satisfied. Unfortunately, by the following morning, my arm was severely swollen, painful, and clearly infected. I had to drive 10 hours back home to Wyoming (as I worked the next day) and ended up in the ER. The infection required IV antibiotics, blood tests, and a week of oral antibiotics, leaving me with a $1,200 medical bill. Much of the ink has since fallen out, and the tattoo no longer looks as it did when it was fresh.
When I contacted the shop, the owner said he wanted to “make it right” and offered support, but the only resolution he provided was free touch-ups if I ever returned to Vegas. After everything I went through—the lack of preparation, poor instructions, medical complications, and expenses—I felt this response was inadequate.
Overall, I was very disappointed. An experienced artist should know whether it’s safe to continue tattooing the next day and whether leaving a fresh tattoo wrapped overnight is advisable. I trusted the professional, and it cost me both financially and physically.
Learn from my mistakes: do your research, trust your gut, and never let a professional push you into something you’re not comfortable with.

Read moreThree of us decided to get a tattoo each. We walked in and had to wait a minute as a previous party was consulting the woman behind the counter. Once they left, my party stepped up to the counter. I told her we were each wanting a tattoo of a bee. I personally wanted to have a small tattoo. She immediately said we don’t do anything smaller than and then she demonstrated with her hands a size approximately the circumference of a soda can— that was far bigger than I wanted. I said that’s interesting because I know I have seen tattoos smaller than that. She then said well do you a pic of the idea you want. As I searched she helped the man after our party. And then didn’t say a word to us despite the fact that we were at the counter. My girlfriend said so what’s the process to get a tattoo? The employee stood there and said i determine your price and take care of the paperwork and you pay and you get your tattoo. I showed her a picture as she had requested. She again said that will still need to be this size- again using her hands to demonstrate. And saying the ink will blur over time if it’s too small. I told her I was aware of that issue. But then my friend picked up the sample book of tattoos they had and found a pic of a bee that was about as big as a quarter. She said we don’t do that size. I then asked well can you show me what it would look like scaled at the size she could do. Again showed her hand size but this time smaller than the previous time. She then said our minimum is $100. I said that’s ok. (As if the money was the issue??) I then asked well can I talk to the artist about the tattoo? She said no, I set the price not them. At this point I felt she wasn’t interested in our money. Because nothing she said was indicative of someone who wanted us there. Collectively my party has nearly 20 tattoos. So this was not our first experience. Not only that but not one of us has paid for a tattoo before it was inked in our skin. But then she revealed her real feelings when my girlfriend said I am not feeling this now. And the women behind the counter said, yeah me either. When my friend when to put the sample book back, she then tried to grab it out of his hand. He calmly explained to her that we would bring it back where picked it up because he had left something at the place where he found it. As I looked at her I noticed she had tattoos on her face all that seemed to look blurry as she was warning us about the tattoo we wanted. We left. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. And definitely do not trust someone with blurry tattoos on their face to give me sound advice about tattoos. And happy to spend my money where...

I came in to get a very old tattoo covered up, and from the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcomed and supported. They helped me find the right artist for the job—and man, did they deliver!
Chris T was incredible. He is kind, professional, and you can tell he takes immense pride in his craft. He even came in on his day off just to take care of my piece. That level of dedication blew me away. The work he did was phenomenal, and the experience meant so much to me. Chris T, I appreciate you more than words can say—thank you for giving your all and creating something I’ll cherish forever.
This shop is something special. Every single person I met was kind, talented, and genuine. I’d give this place 100 stars if I could. If you’re looking for custom work, this is the place. There are so many talented artists here working in a variety of styles—it’s honestly impressive.
This trip marked our 22nd wedding anniversary. For the past three years, we’ve come to Vegas to celebrate by getting new ink, and while yes, it can be more expensive than your hometown, the experience, the memories, and the people you meet make it absolutely worth it. This was the first time I’ve felt a real connection with an artist—and that made all the difference.
Chris, you’re an amazing human being, and it’s an honor to carry your art with me. We’re already looking forward to you working on a piece for my wife next.
To anyone reading this: check this shop out. Show them love. I’ve been to many tattoo studios over the years, and this one stands out as one of the coolest, most welcoming places with some of the best service I’ve experienced in a long time.
Thank you again for making this trip so memorable!
Personal thought: Please always tip your artist as well! They are putting their heart and soul in their work. Show them you appreciate them and what they...
