I would recommend this place if you need to load up with meat and chips. I actually liked their dip for chips because it was really unique and tasted like nacho cheese with sour cream (but not sour). I loved it! The chips are unique as well. We got 4 to-go combos and took it home. So you might ask me why did I take it home? That was the only place that was available to get food on Saturday early evening. We tried to get into fancy restaurants, but it was all packed and required a long wait unless you had a reservation (and we still have to wait). There are no sitting plays, and we had a disabled veteran with us, but we did like the food. A little wait, but in a shade. Portions are not big and we got only ONE tiny cup of coleslaw for all of the four meals (they included all the barbecue meat and sausage and chips). I thought that included more coleslaw... We went back home, I had to heat it up though. But most of the chips stayed crispy for over an hour which is good. I recommend this place if you are on the Freemont and want something to eat without a wait. Their staff is so nice: I even saw them looking for a guy who got distracted and went to see a magic show next to them. My parents-in-law used their "one" club card to pay for their meal, which is very cool for people who has one (though they gambled all the money anyway haha). I do not have one but I did enjoy the food. Thank you!

On a late Saturday night in Fremont, we stumbled upon this gem next to the stage. Starving, we devoured the mac n' cheese, pulled pork sandwich, and fries at their outdoor tables. The mac n' cheese was excellent. Surprisingly, the bacon complemented the chives perfectly, and the noodles were cooked just right. A touch more sauce would have been ideal, but overall, delicious. Crinkle-cut fries, seasoned with a mild Cajun spice, were a pleasant surprise. Not too salty, they paired perfectly with the ketchup. The sandwich was a standout. Moist pulled pork with a tangy, non-vinegary BBQ sauce on soft, fluffy bread was a delight. It came with chips, but we were too focused on the fries. It was also served with coleslaw, which was delightful and light, but the cilantro addition surprised me. Service was fantastic, with friendly staff constantly cleaning and wiping down tables. Our only gripe? Lack of seating, but that's a common downtown issue.

Where can you order real all-American food from a fake catering truck to eat on faux grass while listening to a life band cover hit songs with pretend superheroes zipping by overhead under pictures of nature on a giant LED canopy? Vegas, Baby! Situated next to the Fremont Street Experience Main Stage at the end of the SlotZilla Zip Line, Project BBQ consists of one side of a food truck with a cash register and some small tables. Don't bother looking for chairs. You can get the menu on the wall or scan a QR code to download it and order standard BBQ fair with a Vegas twist like Street Tacos or Pig Wings. BTW, when they say chips, they mean crispy potato chips, not what some other English speakers call fries. You get your drinks bottled and the noise of the FSE crowd to boot, so you might as well pretend you're tail-gating outside a sports arena. It’s Vegas after all. And, yes, the Fremont Fire Hot Chicken Sandwich is fiery hot.

My husband and I visited Project BBQ for lunch today and here are our thoughts. I ordered the brisket tacos with no onions (I have an allergy to onion plus I wanted to see how they handle people with allergies.) My husband had the spicy chicken sandwich and we ordered churros. To drink my husband got a bottle of sprite and I got a bottle of coke. We paid a total of $56.45 for our food. Drinks are not posted on the menu and are just in a metal tub behind the cashier. The business in ran out of a stationary food truck located at 8 Fremont Street in Las Vegas. Now after you order you pick a table to stand at as there is no seating. Take in the atmosphere and the zip liners coming to the end of their flight over Fremont while you wait for your food.

Our food was delivered and it looked great. The brisket tacos had no onions and came with three tacos and two slices of limes which seemed odd for having three tacos, but made it work. I took a piece of the brisket with out the spicy mayo on it to see if I could taste the seasoning but I really could not pick out anything. But a bite of the flour tortilla, brisket, spicy mayo and the lime it was great. I ate two and my husband ate the last one. Now the chicken sandwich was spicy, but it tasted a bit to much like ketchup for my husband and the slaw on the sandwich was not for him, but he did enjoy the homemade chips that come with the sandwich. As for the churros, I was a little disappointed. The sign they have shows a basket but you only get one. With a huge amount of chocolate sauce. The churro was nice with peanut butter inside and a nice crispy outside with cinnamon and warm, it was just one. All in all you are in Vegas and on Fremont Street but I am not sure I would pay the money again...

I typically only write good reviews, but I felt this review about the service was needed. Every time I've eaten at Project BBQ the food has been good but they no longer serve the item I enjoyed. Thats not anyone's fault so it has no persuasion over my review. The lady working the register was unfriendly from the start of walking up to the counter. Her name tag read "Diorling". I typically smile when meeting someone new and my friend and I got no smile, rolled eyes, and rude short replies when asking questions about the menu. When we asked for extra sauce to go with our order, the wrong sauce was brought and when we told the server, the lady at the counter said "oh well," roller her eyes and kept doing what she was doing. We even gave her a 5 dollar tip after paying for the food, which happened to be mediocre this time. As I looked in disbelief that she would be that rude, an older gentleman came up to the counter and she started joking and smiling at him. Now, I'd hate to think I was mistreated because I'm not a man, especially after being friendly and tipping her. She absolutely upset me so much that I will not be eating at that establishment anymore. If you are in customer service, treat everyone with respect, period.

To eat we had the calamari fries which came with half a container of sauce (which is why I asked for more) and a pulled pork sandwich which was also dry but they took the sauce back before we could ask to keep that as well. The chips were pretty good but the atmosphere and rudeness of the counter girl ruined the...
