This place has an awesome little arcade and nerdy collectables shop. That's the reason why this has more than 1 star. The Nerd is why this isn't a 5 star review.
Short and sweet: This bar has great potential, but due to the arbitrarily enforced, male-only, cover charge and the rude response given when I refused to pay and walked away, I will never be returning and I would advise anyone to steer clear.
Long and sour: I'm in Vegas for Punk Rock Bowling, and I enjoyed my first visit (Thursday) so much that I returned the next two nights (Friday & Saturday), and tried to return a fourth time (Sunday). This time was different, despite being let in on Saturday with no ID check because the door guard recognized me, the same guard stops me to check my ID (I don't have a problem with that, I work security at a bar I know that sometimes you recognize people and sometimes you don't). He was about to let me in no problem, when he stopped to read my shirt (it was a shirt hating on white supremacists). We had a short conversation about it. Then he stops me from walking in, and proceeds to tell me that there's a $10 cover. I asked when the cover started, and he replied saying that "It should have started last night". I don't go to bars that charge a cover, but that's not the point. When I passed the two girls at the host stand down stairs, one mentioned that, "It's only for guys", and then very rudely, "You get a free drink so it's exactly the same!"
If they are just trying to make more money, why not charge a small fee for games? Free things are nice, but people are more than willing to pay to play, especially if it's cheap. The cover definitely seemed like it was getting put on because the door guard didn't like my shirt and didn't want me to come in. If there's a dress code, it would be nice to know that. My friends and I spent a lot of money there over the three days, and it's a shame we won't be coming back.
The owner Nicholas thinks that his bad reviews are mainly because of the "music choices" but even if you glance at the reviews, you know that's not true. I hope that they clean their act up and get rid of the bad seeds, because the bar has so much potential.
TLDR: Nerd Bar, stop enforcing...
Read moreKind of reminds me of the local arcade when I was a kid. Kinda dark and dirty with lots of corners and cubby holes for strange stuff to go on. This is like an arcade but for modern age. Instead of coin games, there's an actual game room with home counsels connected together for tournament style play and couches for lounging and desks for serious players. That's in the back. Before that is a couple of pool tables with various local artists on the wall. The other wing is a midsize bowling alley. Not for serious bowlers but fun for all. And, of course, the bar with lots of movie paraphernalia on the walls. Drinks and selections are limited but there's a good enough variety to find something for everyone. It was a little slow when we arrived at 1130pm. Most of the kids are gaming in the back. One group playing pool and a couple of loose stragglers at the bar. It did fill in a little more later on but this is not a place you are going to find a female (or male). The kids that are here are here for gaming and what they offer, nothing else. Whereas other places are just cover for looking for someone to pick up...usually. But, the vibe here doesn't quite promote mingling because there's actually too much to do and get distracted. I guess it kind of fits the lifestyle of the patrons for that kind of stuff but I felt like the only people that came are every night locals and no one really new is coming here. It's just the hangout away from home that has everything you would do sitting on your couch at home but...it's a bar. Reminds me of the Living Room coffee shop in San Diego. Very cozy place but it's so cozy that there's no mingling really going on because everyone is so complacent.
I would suggest some type of live event like bull riding, or karaoke, or even a live band which maybe they have but not that night. Something that's involved rather than hiding in a corner to pretend like you...

OVERVIEW - 3.8 I am so split on this place. We came here for dinner after we had settled in our hotel, and wanted to see Fremont Street. Customer Service was horrid. (See Employees section for reason)
LOCATION - 5 They actually have a pretty reasonable location there right before the close off of Fremont Street, at a nice corner location.
PRICE - 3 The prices were actually comparable with everywhere else. No amazing deals were found here.
PRODUCT/SERVICE - 5 I know I have dogged on this place quite a bit already, however, I will give them the fact the orange chicken is probably some of the best orange chicken I have ever had in my life.
POINTERS/PERKS - 5 If you're willing to put up with real poor customer service, but want to eat good, this is the place for you!
EMPLOYEES - 1 Our attendance was lousy. The two young ladies were very blunt as we were starting at the wrong end of the line, and that's only after the fact that they gave any kind of attention after several minutes. When we finally got our meals we requested water cups, and they attempted to sell us water bottles. Bottles do not equal cups. Also when I went to request a to go container once again I was blown off for several minutes while the employees chatted amongst themselves and were on their phones... As a side note I found it ironic that the building said it was international dishes, when their primary focus was on mexican food, with tons of spanish music, and the majority of the employees...
