A visit to Las Vegas is not complete without going to explore the Fremont Street Experience! It's an experience that you don't easily forget. It is something you won't experience in your town. The vibe is unusual, weird, shocking, unique, fun, strange, repulsive, yet entertaining. You have to see it to believe it, more or less. I have been there many times, and it never ceases to amaze me. There is loud music played constantly to add to the atmosphere.
There are street performers galore! They are required to do their "act" within a specified circle, or the police visit them. They are looking for tips. There are males and females scantily dressed and want to take a picture with you. There are live bands, people in costumes, clowns, gorillas, and various other strange outfits. No one bothered us, and we were happy about that.
There are many small restaurants thruout. We ate at Project BBQ. The service was friendly and the food was good! There is no fine dining that we saw.
If you like gambling, there were several casinos. While I didn't gamble this trip, I was very lucky at the Golden Nugget a couple of years ago and came out way ahead. Usually, that doesn't happen.
The main reason that we left the Strip to come here is that my daughter wanted to go on the SlotZilla! I refused to go on it, but I volunteered to take pictures of her on it. She loved it!
As in many large cities in the US, you also need to be aware that there are many homeless people who like to hang out here. We were not bothered by anyone here.
It was fun to be back here. Maybe in a couple of years,...

It was exhausting & so crowded we didn't have fun so we left after less than 1 hour. Unfortunately my friend had the parking ticket & he lost it during all the hustle and bustle of this annoyingly busy night, it was in his pocket & he must have lost it when he pulled out his cellphone one of many times. What should have been $3 turned into $12 for a lost ticket fee (the max rate) cause they showed no mercy that things like this happen sometimes. That's not all the jerk security guard wanted to see my friend's license & insurance card or registration to make sure we weren't stealing the car...which was a pain in the ass cause he just leased it days before & none of those came yet. After 10mins of looking he had to show them an online one which luckily the security guard accepted. Never again giving money to...
Read moreThe Fremont Street Parking Garage was clean with plenty of parking. However near by: 11-2-18 I went to bring a set of keys to my son who locked himself out of his car. It was night. He was parked on a public street. A lot of other cars around. Across from where he was parked are some apartments. When I pulled up I noticed some guy bouncing an orange construction cone around who was standing in front of the apartments. My son told me he was hustling people $15.00 to park. Calling it private parking. I was curious how my son handle that. He said he told the guy he didn't have any cash on him and had locked himself out of the car. The guy wanted him to leave. He had to wait for me to show up with the spare key. That left him waiting by his car until I got there for about an hour. I asked him how the other people who parked after him handled it. He said some paid. Some told the guy to (f) off. Worried about vandalism he ended up leaving and finding another parking place. This place can...
