WARNING THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE TO STAY AT IF YOUR NATIVE AMERICAN OR IF YOUR PART OF THE MILITARY YOU HAVE A CHANCE OF BEING TREATED POORLY . I WOULD ADVISE PEOPLE NOT TO STAY HERE.
I flew into Las Vegas on March 26th from Washington D.C but before I came to Vegas my dad and I booked a room for me here at the Oasis Gold Spike for March 26 threw March 29 when my flight landed I went straight to the Oasis Gold Spike so i could check in. When I checked in I used my Pauite Shoshone tribal ID card and everything was ok and went smooth on that part there were a few problems though 1 problem was that when we booked the room we weren't told that you had to pay a $50 dollar deposit and the resort fee when you got there we just booked and paid with the card online so it was all taken care, might I add that there was also a young gentleman sitting to the left of me, he wasn't just any young man here he was a young man serving in one of the military branches he was having the same problem I was with the whole pay the $50 dollar deposit fee this young man I could tell was really stressed over this, not to mention they should of took care of this young man alot better then they did I mean for all he's done in serving this country just saying I give these guys a -10 on how they handled that young man just from over hearing the whole thing well taken well over an hour just to get in the room. Ok next problem is just this I checked on March 29 and ended up staying a few nights with someone I knew then went back to the Oasis Gold Spike a few days later to see about getting a room again to be closer to the strip the last few days I was here walked in same group of employees working when I checked in on March, 26th so my dad who's all the way in Maryland and who was putting it on his credit card like he did the 1st time had all sorts of problems trying to even pay for the room like he did last time they told us to go book it online on their website and gave me their busines card and to use code off save 20 so my dad went online booked the room and all that like we were told to do, I get back up there to give them the confirmation # and the lady tells me that's there's nothing there under that # and that it's wrong, me and my dad and up figuring all that out on to the next problem I go back in there to give them the number again well still on the phone with my dad I give them the number and then I give them this same ID card I gave them the first time I checked in on March, 26th my Pauite Shoshone tribal ID card (keep in mind this Tribal ID card is set up just like a state ID is as well name, address, issue date, expiration date, and date of birth and my photo on it) they told me they couldn't accept it and refused service to me but this wasn't a problem when I checked in March 26 with this same native American ID and it is a federal recognize tribe as well and this same ID I used to get threw TSA (Transportation Security Administration) checkpoint at the airport accepted it we all know that it's hard to get threw check point with ID if it's not a good ID they won't let you threw but I was able to use it to get on the plane and to check in the Oasis Gold Spike the 1st time but not the 2nd time. The lady was not exactly nice about it when she was refusing my ID. Must be a problem in this world with white man hating on native Americans still. Nothing...
Read moreI know it’s probably very late for this, but it has to be mentioned. While I’m open minded enough to acknowledge it can be enjoyable here when there are things going on and that I was fascinated and enjoyed the place. They abuse the hotel guests from next store. One week back in December, I was booking a room with the hotel next door and apparently they have a co-op of some sort with this gold spike place. They have make shift rooms above this bar where you take an elevator up and everything is pop rock/culture themed. I was feeling okay about things, despite wondering why I was not staying at the parent hotel and was planning on staying two nights. Well it ended up being one! One evening I was simply minding my own business underneath a heater watching live YouTube sports, when the unexpected happened. I looked over my shoulder and saw a rogue security guard spinning his wheels right towards me and got all up into my business and even space interrogating me. I was being told I had to go and the place was not open to homeless. No questions asked if I was staying there or if I had a key etc. I was in so much discomfort and deeply irritated. It felt reserved in a specific way where the goal was to target me. I told them somehow that I did have all that. Like didn’t even bother to ask receptionist at the hotel. Like how did I end up in this place as I didn’t even choose all this to happen. To my mistake at least to a degree I ended up showing them how I really felt. From this point on it didn’t make sense to me how these rooms could exist above this bar. It seemed very loose and lawless. Like if you don’t want the hotels clients to stay there why wouldn’t you tell them? I was deeply annoyed by this, as well as a couple other things that have happened to me and gave me a really bad taste to Vegas as I was attempting to move down there from North Dakota, where I eventually ended up, deciding to move back towards the Midwest. This isn’t the first time it was assumed that I was homeless, with last time that I was just going through on a trip. A gale randomly approached me, assuming I was homeless when I was there on a trip. I think I have a taste at least in my own corner w/...
Read moreRIDICULOUS!!! First off let me tell you this was my DIRTY 30.. My husband gratefully booked me a table with bottle service weeks before my (BIG DAY) .. We arrive around 10:30PM 9/18 (table 10PM-3AM) when we arrive there was NOBODY there because of Life is Beautiful.. So the night manager (Mike I think) pulled us to the side and asked us to wait.. (For what, nobody was there) We had our IDS ready and confirmation email with order ID and anything else you could think of that comes with a CONFIRMATION.. So as we are showing him the IDS AND CONFIRMATION EMAIL he begins to talk about us needing a QR code.. We then tell him we don't have a QR code so he told us he has to go to the back office and see if he can find any other information.. (WTH , are you serious) Not to mention his body odor, tonality and overall greeting was disgusting. The security guards were amazing all of the men were very understanding and were apologetic for something they didn't do or had control over. Now at this point we are thinking he is judging us because we are African American.. (truly hate to mention) so finally after embarrassingly waiting on the side they let us in. Now we are waiting on the side not sure where our table is. Have to ask where do we go, then the lady host directed us and asked where we wanted to be seated. This was our first time booking VIP there so we were not sure where it would be POPPIN... So now we want HOOKAH!!! I loved the hookah lady so professional and sweet ( VIRGO GANG) we had hookah all night and we had to literally shake the bad NEGATIVE ENERGY we received from when we first arrived.... So here comes Mr. Night Manager Bad Energy ( Mike I think) told the nice hookah lady to come tell us she had to take the hookah because her manager ( Mike I think) said this was the oldest hookah out. ( WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN???) I just paid for a refill. We had about a FULL HOUR LEFT... We did not want to get our mood ruined AGAIN so we just left. Overall i can NOT get this day back. THIS GUY TRULY RUINED MY NIGHT... Back to DON'T RECOMMEND GOING WHEN MIKE THE MANAGER VIBE KILLER is on the clock.. GREAT PLACE HORRIBLE...
