Gelato-go Lauderdale by the sea — Restaurant in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

I was extremely disappointed at the workers response to a customer who brought in his python 6ft snake into their gelato parlour! I have a newborn baby and he casually walked in and placed his snake on a table and chairs and I was in shock eating my amazing ice cream! I spoke to the staff and said is he allowed in and I was just scared trying my best to hide my stroller and baby away from the snake! I was shocked to hear that the worker said “it’s not her business” and “she doesn’t get involved”. She didn’t even want to talk about it. She completely dismissed me and I found that to be so rude and uninviting! I loved the ice cream but we will not return because I had to ask the workers to clean the table the snake was placed on going around this chair and table and all over the tissues! It was horrendous! The worker at first didn’t even want to clean the table! She said “what do you want me to clean it with”?! I said “anything you have”! I was shocked they didn’t even want to clean the area the snake had been on and other families, children could sit there and might even catch a tropical disease!!!! Utterly shocked and disgusted that the workers didn’t even want to clean the area after the snake and owner left their shop and then when the Sheriff came, didn’t even want to talk to him and just wanted rid of him! Awful attitude and if they are worried about business and being dismissive was their response to this then I think they were totally wrong! The worker said that man and his snake is there everyday meaning that snake is allowed in their shop where there is food and customers sitting around and they don’t even think they should clean the area where the snake has been!!! The owner who had placed his snake on the table was touching all of the things spoons and tissues on the counter top and then other people go and touch that too and eat their ice cream! If you own this ice cream parlour and read this review PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BAN ALL SNAKES FROM YOUR SHOP ESPECIALLY 6FT PYTHONS AS THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS NOR HYGIENIC! So I am a transient Gelato-Go lover from the Orlando area and also part Italian. The Orlando location is literally the only location I found that had the atmosphere, service and delicious treats I wanted. I recently moved to the area and was happy about there being a Gelato-go here and my review is not to complain about the quality of gelato being different, its still delicious at this location BUT there are some other things that disappointed me in the consistency of the brand consumer facing. 1. The sizes offered are totally different. They only offer cones and small cups. I am used ordering the larger or medium cups. 2. They had no way to preserve my order so I can take it home which is what I like to do instead of buying ice cream from the grocery store. I had to put in a coffee cup and it almost completely melted by the time I got home which never happened when I ordered from the Orlando location and the amount left me unsatisfied. 3. They don't have a customer loyalty system. The Orlando location uses my phone number to track my purchases and gives me points that I can redeem once accumulated to a certain amount of points. This location does not have that. In conclusion, I am big on brand consistency and if they are going to franchise, it is important to the loyal customers who travel and like what they like to be consistent. That how big franchises like Chick-fil-a, for example are successful. These 3 reasons is why they recieve 3 stars. It was an incomplete experience for me I went from being really excited to now I can't order to go, get points or have a selection of sizes to choose from depending on my mood and this sucks! I hope the owner sees this and takes a leaf from the Orlando locations book because they do very well over there with that system it's not going to hurt your business. ...
