Very disappointed in my visit. I was given a fitting room with my name on it (employees were aware I was using it) as I was trying on clothes I felt someone tried to open so I said âexcuse me?â So the person left, a couple minutes later an employee opened my fitting room without knocking or asking and I was in the middle of trying on pants. The degrading part of this incident was that If it were an accident she would have closed the door right away and apologized but instead she looked at me and inside the room because my mom was sitting on the seat and said âis everything okay? I didnât remember you were in hereâ In response, super embarrassed and uncomfortable I asked her if she could close the door because I was in the middle of trying on pants. Then she said âoh yes let me know if you need anythingâ. The other employees were aware and they never apologized and looked at us weird. They didnât even ask if anything had worked out or not, which makes me feel like they profiled us and probably thought wrong about my mom and I. They were all aware of what had happened and it seemed it could have been planned. Once we were at the register paying I told her that she made me feel very uncomfortable and she should knock before opening the fitting room on someone because it sure didnât feel nice. I donât think anyone wants to have an employee look at them while trying on clothes as that is private. Accidents happen all the time and I would have been fine, but the way she acted made it feel intentional. Not ok! Associate:...
Read moreI shopped at Chicoâs for the first time a month ago. In that one visit, I spent nearly $500. One tank top they sold me as the âperfect pairâ for under a blouse was very uncomfortable as the day went on the first time I wore it. It shifted and rode up under the blouse they also sold me. When I tried to return it, I was informed they donât take any merchandise back that doesnât still have the tags attached and is on one. The saleswoman went on to say, â I donât know any store that would.â To which I responded, Macyâs and Nordstrom do among others. Then she said, âwell didnât you try it on before you bought it?â I replied, âyes, I did for about 5 minutes. It wasnât until I wore it for a few hours that it became apparent the tank top was problematic.â Sometimes, you just donât know an article of clothing isnât going to work until youâve worn it at least a few hours. The woman was an older woman and had quite the snobby tone.
Yes, I should have read the back of the receipt so tough lesson learned on my part . I just canât believe one has to take such a risk to buy clothes there. Their clothes are very expensive and they clearly are trying to compete with such stores as Macyâs and Nordstrom. I certainly wonât take the risk in the future to shop there. There are just too many other...
Read moreDisappointing experience at Chico's, I expected better service for what used to be high quality clothing. Purchased a sweater, wore in once and washed it and it started coming apart at the neck seam. Tried to return the sweater since I expected better quality from Chico's, the return policy says "original condition with original tickets attached and all packaging, unworn, unwashed, or be defective". Was told the sweater wasn't defective and probably got caught on something in the wash. If Chico's clothing can't make it through one wash that's defective in my book. Don't think...
