For those that have done online dating this experience was so very similar to me. The social media photos were very attractive and the excited feeling I had when I saw that we were in the same city, I must admit I was excited! Parking was a challenge, but there isn’t many places in the city where that is much different But I would have hoped for brighter experience walking in the door. Perhaps I was not what they were expecting but wait the girl behind the counter had never seen me. She had the attitude of someone that was forced to come in on a day off and couldn’t wait to get back to the Air conditioning and watching the Olympics. The butterflies I felt were slowly diminishing and after 40 minutes of waiting for my that special something that I lusted over online was before me I was still thinking “Good things come to those that wait’ well…. That beautiful chicken and waffle showed up. I took a deep breath and lean forward and put my lips around what I Vision to be so good and was so bland. I am sure the look of disappointment was on my face, but I hurried in for the second bite and was just as disappointed. Nicks on 2nd, Roscoe’s I have dated them all And I was hoping this was going to be my life partner but instead just another hit and run and wasn’t even good enough for...
Read moreI saw an Instagram Reel that promoted the Mango Sticky Rice pancakes and decided to come here with my sister. We came here the Saturday following Thanksgiving for brunch and really enjoyed the food and service!
Our experience might be different because it was the holiday weekend. We signed up for a reservation as directed on the front door when we arrived, but didn't need to use it as there were plenty of places to sit. When we got to the front counter, we placed our order and were given a number to put on our table. The person taking our order let us know that they were short staffed that day, so the wait time for our food would take longer (which we did not mind at all!) We later saw a sign at the register indicating that a lot of staff went on vacation due to the holidays which is why they were short staffed, which I think indicates good management :)
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the mango sticky rice pancakes! I took one bite and I went back to the register to get another order to-go because I wanted to bring some home to my parents to try as well. Everyone who got a bite said the sauce tastes exactly like mango sticky rice in sauce form haha
I hope to come back again in the future for those...
Read moreI visited this place after seeing an Instagram video someone made. The food did not disappoint, and the mimosas were tasty and strong. The serving size was more than I expected, but you definitely get your money's worth! The service was good and the vibe was nice. It's a small space with indoor and outdoor seating. I recommend reserving a table even if there's no wait online. I checked for a wait, and there wasn't one, but when I showed up not even 30 minutes later, I had to be put in a waitlist. I waited maybe 10-15 minutes, which isn't bad, but I was also a party of 2. For larger groups, you may want to be more prepared than I was.
This is definitely a place I could go to on a regular basis if I lived closer. The drive is worth it, so I I'll be back.
NOTE: You'll need to pay before you're seated, so be sure you know what you want. There's a menu outside, so if there's a wait, you can look it over or check it out on your phone. The restaurant is on the corner, and parking on the street is limited. I parked in a nearby parking lot a couple blocks away and walked to...
