I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Harbor Breeze Cruises in Long Beach, California, and I must say it was an exhilarating adventure that left me in awe. The 45-minute ride provided an incredible opportunity to explore the picturesque Pacific coast waters while enjoying breathtaking views of the iconic Queen Mary's ship.
From the moment I stepped aboard the cruise, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a friendly crew that ensured a smooth and enjoyable journey. The staff members were knowledgeable and passionate about the area's rich maritime history, adding a layer of depth to the experience. They were more than happy to answer any questions and share fascinating anecdotes about the Queen Mary and other significant landmarks we encountered during the ride.
The highlight of the cruise was undoubtedly the opportunity to view the magnificent Queen Mary up close. As we glided through the crystal-clear waters, the ship's grandeur and historical significance became even more apparent. The sight was truly mesmerizing, and I felt a sense of awe and reverence for this iconic ocean liner.
The Pacific coast waters served as a stunning backdrop throughout the ride. The combination of the sparkling blue ocean, the gentle breeze, and the panoramic vistas created an ambiance that was both relaxing and invigorating. It was the perfect setting to unwind and soak in the natural beauty that California has to offer.
The duration of the cruise, although only 45 minutes, was packed with excitement and captivating sights. The timing was just right, allowing me to indulge in the experience without feeling rushed. I never once felt bored or unengaged, as there was always something intriguing to observe or learn about.
Overall, I highly recommend Harbor Breeze Cruises in Long Beach, California, for anyone seeking an exciting and memorable adventure. Whether you're a local looking to appreciate the beauty of your own backyard or a tourist wanting to explore the charms of the Pacific coast, this cruise offers an unforgettable experience. With its exceptional staff, breathtaking views, and the opportunity to view the majestic Queen Mary, Harbor Breeze Cruises truly delivers an...

Our experience with Harbor Breeze Cruises had a mix of highlights and disappointments. Upon arriving, we were directed to the designated parking garage, which was completely full. We had to wait for a spot to become available, which unfortunately caused us to miss our reserved cruise time. Thankfully, when we approached the reservation portal, the staff was understanding and graciously accommodated us on a later cruise — which we truly appreciated.
Once aboard, the educational component of the tour was enjoyable, interesting, and informative. However, there were some cleanliness concerns that negatively impacted our comfort. The restroom had a very strong urine smell and was visibly dirty, with urine on the floor — which was unacceptable for a public tour of this kind.
Additionally, before the cruise started, I purchased four drinks and two ring pops. While I received the drinks, in the excitement of boarding, I accidentally left the ring pops on the counter. After realizing this, I politely approached a team member named Jackie and explained the situation. Instead of showing understanding, she accused me of already taking the ring pops, even though I clearly explained I had forgotten them in the moment. When I told her the color didn’t matter, she slammed them on the counter in a very rude and dismissive way. Her behavior felt humiliating and dehumanizing — especially when I was simply trying to retrieve something I had paid for.
What made the situation even more upsetting was the nonchalant attitude from the staff at the front desk when I reported the incident. It felt as though the issue was brushed off and not taken seriously. For context, we were the only African-American family on the boat, and whether intentional or not, the dismissiveness and lack of empathy we experienced made the situation feel especially isolating.
While the cruise itself offered a memorable and educational experience, the poor restroom conditions and unacceptable customer service from Jackie left a lasting negative impression. I hope Harbor Breeze Cruises will address these issues to ensure every guest — regardless of background — feels respected,...
Read moreWe paid 140 plus dollars for 3 tickets to get soaking wet, freeze for 3 hours, starve, and see no whales.
Online said they had hot dogs. We didn't have time for a real lunch but figured snacks and hot dogs onboard would be fine. We get onboard, all they have is chips, nuts, candy, and I ask about the hot dogs just to be told "not today." Had we known that, I would've gotten something quick from a food truck before we got onboard. A 2 hour tour was over 3 hours from the time we got on the ship to the time we stepped off. Chips and candy is not good enough for food options for that long of a tour.
I have been on several whale watching tours. NEVER have we gotten more than a little splash of water here and there. We got SOAKED. Head to toe, soaked from all the waves splashing. They told is 12x to hold on to your hats. If you know there's a chance people get that wet- tell them. Our clothes were soaked, the seats were soaked, and when we finally made it inside there were zero seats available. There was an inside area upstairs but apparently it's for staff only. I'm so glad the staff were perfectly dry and laughing and taking videos on their phone of everyone else getting drenched and falling over. Very professional.
The narrator was useless. He said barely anything the whole way out and then stumbled over his words and contradicted himself the whole way back.
Apparently there were 2 whale sightings. We saw nothing. Completely understand that you can't control wildlife. What you can control is crowd capacity. There were way too many people onboard and the 2 times they saw something, everyone ran over one another to get to the side that we saw nothing.
I have never not tipped a tour guide(s) until today. We quite literally paid to be soaking wet, freeze the entire trip, not get any food, and have staff make fun of us and take a video and laugh from their dry area. Complete waste of...
