This place is very fun for a day of shopping, movies and fun food. You can hang out with your friends here, like I do, or come with family. Great for kids. There is the Edwards Cinemas 26 with IMAX there! (See my other review for details about that, but on Sundays, tickets are $7 THE WHOLE DAY!) This location has an okay pizza shop, with vegan cheese options, Pizza Rev. (Pizza Rev has a huge variety of spicy flavored sauces to put on your pizza, from black pepper to ghost pepper!) It has a boba and drink shop, Roasting Water. I haven't been there, but I've heard lots of great things about that location. There is a TGIF restaurant, and Original Roadhouse Grill. There's also a medium sized Starbucks and a few other restaurants that I haven't gotten to trying. And lastly, the shop all kids will insist to go to, Ben and Jerry's!! This location has one or two vegan ice cream options as well, one of them can be made into a milkshake as well. And now the shops! The tons of shops! Let's see, we have Bob's Discount Furniture, Walmart, Justice, Tilly's, Lowe's, Ross Dress for Less, Barne's n Nobles, ULTA, Party City, Old Navy, Valvoline, Ashley Furniture, Bath and Body Works, Carter's and OshKosh B'gosh, and a lot more. (They have a directory on their website.) But in short, it's like any other great shopping center, with the additional perk of vegan food options and/or cheap movies at Edwards Cinemas.(Even Bollywood movies)
Update: they no longer offer the $7 deal, and Pizza Rev was replaced by...
Read moreOnce a thriving and convenient place, many great restaurants and shops once populated every nook and cranny. Some major and minor places remain, many more have vanished or changed hands. It would have gotten 6/5 stars from yours truly, but even though we still frequent the complex, there's always a bit of melancholy forlorn for what it used to offer. The causes for the slow, painful demise of what existed there decades ago are too complex for my limited comprehension. To quote Jules Verne's Captain Nemo, perhaps in GOD'S GOOD TIME, it might be restored to those of us, and generations now and to come, to its former glory or better! There is still enough there to meet my meager needs, and more. (sigh😐) Yeah, melodramatic, but gimme a break. It's not unmanly to emote a bit. It still is four stars in my book. The theatre complex is still there! With a large Walmart, Barnes and Noble, Lowe's, a few of the originals (clothing, restaurants, some specialty shops), but less than the ones that have left!, (heard from an informed source the rent's too high, but then takes us to Sacramento, and "oh my gosh!", SOMEONE VOTED FOR THEM . . . well, as said, too complex for this dude . . Miraculously, still lots of good brick and mortar. Look on line, or if close by, walk or drive through to see how it...
Read moreLots of shops and eateries to choose from, home improvement to furniture to movies to IKEA showroom to bbq ribs to burgers. I come here for Sam's Club though I live 20 minutes away. Sam's Club is at the furthest west end of the center. The Sam's Club gas station is located in the extreme opposite end of the mall on the further east side, which is perfect because it is out of the way unlike other locations that cause ridiculous traffic jams. I've been to the Walmart here which is rare because I don't like Walmart but this one is huge and well stocked. Lucille's is a family favorite spot and I take my babies to the Long Beach Stadium 26 movies here in the summer, another family favorite spot. I have yet to stop in at the Barnes and Noble there but I plan to. There's a perfectly placed Chik Filet and Carl's Jr for the peckish that share space with a car wash for last minute clean up as you leave the center. The 605 freeway is also conveniently placed along Carson Street. Lots and lots of parking. ...
