My experience at Sono Felice by Christine was not only disappointing but completely unacceptable. I came in with clear reference photos for an ash blonde balayage focused mostly on the bottom half of my hair. Instead, my entire head was lightened against my wishes.

The director, Christine, informed me that we would not be able to achieve the level of lightness in the reference pictures. I told her that I was okay with this, as long as the tone was still ashy. I specifically said "ash brown." However, as you can see in the pictures, the hair is very brassy and warm toned, and a lot more hair than I asked for was bleached.

Additionally, Christine barely touched my hair. She only applied bleach to half of my head and then had her assistants do everything else, including toning my hair. She never even applied toner to my hair, aside from a single test strand—which she then cut off WITHOUT MY CONSENT OR ANY WARNING.

On top of that, she left the bleach in my hair for over an hour. Anyone who has some experience with colored hair knows that this is excessive and incredibly damaging. No one checked on me during that time.

Every time I was done getting my hair rinsed, I would be lost on where I was supposed to sit. Christine seemed to have at least four clients at a time, and my chair would be taken by someone else. I usually ended up awkwardly sitting in the waiting area unsure of what to do, and I would be left waiting a LOT.

I hated my hair, but when we were done, Christine and her assistants were all crowded around me and I felt pressured to accept it, despite being on the verge of tears. When I reached out afterward to explain that my hair was completely different from what I requested, the salon repeatedly dismissed my concerns. At first, they outright refused to fix my hair, unless I paid more money. After over a week of messaging back and forth, they started insisting on “fixing” it with toner—completely ignoring the fact that the real issue was how much of my hair was lightened, not just the tone. Despite my frustration, they refused to take accountability and outright refused to offer a refund, even though they do not have a written refund policy available for their clients to see.

This salon is unprofessional, misleading, and clearly does not listen to their clients. If you care about your hair, do not trust this place. I now have to spend more money elsewhere to fix the damage they did. Avoid at all costs.

Response: It is incredibly disappointing that you continue to dismiss my concerns. I have repeated myself a countless number of times, that my issue has never been about the level of lightness achieved or the number of sessions needed to reach a certain shade. My issue is that you lightened far more of my hair than I ever agreed to. I asked for a balayage focused mostly on the bottom half of my hair, with only a few highlights to create a transition. Instead, my entire head was lightened, completely disregarding what I asked for.

Furthermore, your claim that I agreed to this service is completely false. I never agreed to have my entire head lightened. In fact, I specifically showed you reference photos where only the bottom half was fully lightened, with a few highlights to blend with the top. You ignored my instructions and are now gaslighting me by framing the issue as a misunderstanding about achieving a specific color.

To make matters worse, you personally applied bleach to only half of my hair, then had your assistants handle the rest, and you cut off a test strand of my hair without my consent or warning.

Your refusal to take responsibility and your continued deflection only reinforce the unprofessionalism I experienced at your salon. You claim you want to resolve this, yet you continue to ignore my specific concerns about how much of my hair was bleached. Your salon claims to have a no refund policy but is unable to provide documentation of this claim, making me question if such a policy even exists, or if it is being used as a way to avoid taking responsibility for...

Came here yesterday and I really wanted to like it. I saw the amazing reviews so I decided to come here to get my very first digital perm. Justin helped me and he was really nice and was great explaining everything. I showed him what I wanted and he said that my hair wouldn’t do exactly that but he can do a low curl digital perm. So I told him, I trust you. I wanted a trim because it has taken me years to grow my hair and he said my hair was damaged on the bottom. So I’m my mind I was like ok. Let’s cut it. So we cut my hair and there I was thinking my perm wouldn’t be like a regular Shirley temple hair and even during the perm I told him. Are the curlers supposed to be on the top? And he said yes. As he was doing my hair he had other clients at the same time. It didn’t bother me but I still expect things to be done right. So as my appointment came to an end he was like, I’m going to show you how to style your hair. He did but I feel like he had someone else waiting, he just did it fast and my hair came out to something I didn’t want and desperately hated. It was the Shirley temple hair. Now I hate my hair and I don’t know what to do or how to fix it. I should have known that since he didn’t have reviews I should have chosen a specific stylist. From what I have seen Bella seems to do a great job. But lesson learned, go to someone that has a lot of reviews and someone’s work you can see through pics. Now I have to live like this for I don’t know how long!

By the way I even chose a pic from their salon to...

Just came to Sono Felice by Christine for the first time ever after seeing videos of their haircuts, hair treatments and color services. I made an appointment over phone that included consultation, cut, perm all by christine herself with prices told over the phone immediately. They have full parking validation and are easy to locate. The salon is beautiful - clean, good music, very good staff that is very attentive. I made an appointment a week before but they were so accommodating to fit me in sooner. I came in a little nervous since I've never been here but Im so happy I trusted my gut. I was greeted right away, given tea and snacks and then christine proceeded to give me a life changing consultation, haircut and treatment. My hair looks unreal. She gave me suggestions on what would work best to achieve exactly what i wanted per my photos. I have straight hair and wanted a wavy/curly treatment. The process was so smooth and easy. I cannot compliment the work and hospitality of Christine, henry and philip. Unbelievable service and true attention to detail. They worked hard to make sure the treatment stuck to my hair properly and took their time with it. So happy to say I have a new favorite salon. They washed, styled and taught me how to style my hair for the desired look i wanted. My hair feels healthy and strong, I was most nervous about any damage. Thank...

Editing my review after my corrective appointment. I went to Sono Felice bc I wanted what I always get, a trim, long layers, face framing, and bangs but this time with a Digital C-Curl perm. I normally book with Sophia, she is truly a master at her craft. However she wasn’t available and I ended up with Matilda. Matilda took my request and gave me short blunt heavy unblended layers, cut my hair up to chest length when I walked in with waist length. The cut is so unflattering I look like coconut head. Then she never disclosed that she did not know what a c-curl perm was. She proceeded to curl half my hair and leave the top straight. I was in the chair from 2pm - 8:30Pm for a procedure that takes 4 hours. 2 days later I came in for a complementary corrective procedure by Sophia and bless her heart she tried her best to fix it. I think it does look much better than before but it is still not even close to what I wanted. You can’t fix a blunt cut at the top of yo head like that unless you chop it all off. I paid $500 for someone to ruin the hair I was growing out for years. I unfortunately did not get a refund but thank you Sophia for fixing a mistake that is not yours. 2nd to Last pic - final product. My long layer c-curl perm. Last pic was my hair 2 days before the incident LESSON: don’t book a first available appointment. Book with Sophia
