AMC's location at Alderwood Mall is a great choice for moviegoers, offering reasonable matinee prices, well-maintained theaters, and quality sound systems. The concessions are of good quality, and the overall experience is enjoyable. 4/5.
Full Review AMC’s location at Alderwood Mall stands out as a solid choice for anyone looking to enjoy a movie in a comfortable and well-equipped environment. Earning a commendable 4/5 rating, this theater has plenty to offer to enhance your movie-going experience.
Right from the entrance, you're greeted by a line of arcade machines, adding a touch of fun and nostalgia before you even enter the screening room. The self-service ticket machines are efficient and user-friendly, making the ticketing process smooth and hassle-free.
One of the standout features of this AMC location is the reasonable matinee prices. For those who prefer to catch a movie during the day, this offers great value for money. The theaters themselves are well-maintained, with clean facilities and a thoughtful design. The PLF (Premium Large Format) screens and quality sound systems ensure an immersive viewing experience, making every film more enjoyable.
The concessions at AMC Alderwood Mall are a highlight. Unlike some theaters where the kitchen opens at arbitrary times, the concessions here are available as soon as the theater opens. The quality of the hot and fresh snacks is impressive. We particularly enjoyed the chicken tenders and curly fries, which were both delicious and served in satisfying portions. I look forward to trying out other concessions on future visits.
Another positive aspect is the presence of a merchandise section right next to the concessions. This thoughtful arrangement simplifies and condenses the consumer experience, allowing moviegoers to grab snacks and browse movie-related merchandise in one convenient spot.
The overall cleanliness and upkeep of the theater contribute significantly to a pleasant visit. The staff clearly take pride in maintaining the facilities, which is always appreciated.
One minor issue worth mentioning is the soundproofing in certain theaters. There was a slight noise bleed from adjacent theaters, but it was not severe enough to detract significantly from the overall experience.
In conclusion, AMC’s location at Alderwood Mall offers a satisfying movie-going experience. With its reasonable matinee prices, excellent screen and sound quality, delicious concessions, and clean facilities, it is a theater I can confidently recommend. Despite a minor issue with soundproofing, my time here was enjoyable, and I look forward to returning for future...
Read moreJust went to my first movie in a while and it appears as though it was this location’s too!
I purchased my ticket and concessions ahead of time on mobile, so I went to check in at the kiosk. Upon scanning my barcode, the kiosk printed 12 tickets/receipts for one person… what a waste of time and resources. It also made it confusing for me to figure out which receipt was my ticket.
I was instructed by the greeter to get my concessions at the mobile pick up area, so I proceeded to there. I then stood there for 10 minutes while other customers were taken care of. I eventually cut in front of the next “I can help whoever is next please” because my movie was about to start. The purpose of mobile ordering was convenience and avoiding lines, but I should have just ordered upon arrival because those customers were taking priority and likely getting everything they needed. To make matters worse, my cup was in with the heat lamp where they had stored my mobile order and was hot to the touch for my cold drink. The cherry on top was I had to get back in line because I didn’t receive a straw. Attention to details please, AMC.
Movie was good (standard viewing of Batman), audio and visual was run-of-the-mill.
Towards the end, I was out of popcorn and went to the concessions to get a refill. When I approached the stand, the employee said “sorry, concessions is closed”. There were two machines full of popcorn, so I figured she meant that they weren’t starting new orders so I said “I just need a refill of popcorn” she rejected me and said “confessions are completely closed”. Yet another source of frustration as I purchased a large so that I could get a refill (paid a lot of money for it).
In short, it appears that AMC is struggling to understand the basics or customer service and adapt to mobile ordering. This was hands down the worst experience I have had at a movie theater. Do yourself a favor and visit a different location or company for your...
Read moreAlderwood AMC is awesome. Everything is clean, good food, bathrooms awesome. Parking galore. Here’s my recent visit.
I'm genuinely excited about the new Superman movie, and it feels like a fresh take we need right now. David Corenswet immediately strikes me as perfect casting – he has that classic Superman look combined with a warmth and grounded presence previous versions sometimes missed. He feels like someone who could genuinely struggle with his identity while radiating innate kindness. The suit is a fantastic update too; it honors the iconic colors but the texture looks more practical, less like spandex, and that subtle glow on the emblem is a beautiful modern touch. It feels heroic yet believable.
Knowing James Gunn is directing gives me real confidence. His work on Guardians proves he can balance big spectacle, genuine humor, and deep heart – exactly what Superman deserves. I love that the trailer hints at Clark before he’s fully Superman, working a regular job and figuring things out. That origin-adjacent approach feels unexplored cinematically and makes his journey more relatable. Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane looks brilliant – sharp, capable, and radiating intelligence. Their dynamic seems promising.
The emphasis on "hope" and "kindness" as core themes resonates deeply. Frankly, after years of overly grim superhero fare and deconstructions, the idea of a Superman who embodies optimism and tries to do good because it's right feels incredibly refreshing. It’s not cheesy; it’s foundational to the character and feels necessary today. The action glimpsed looks powerful and visceral, making his strength tangible. This isn't just nostalgia; it feels like a sincere attempt to capture the aspirational spirit of Superman for a new generation, blending earnest heroism with modern filmmaking. I’m truly looking forward to seeing this hopeful vision soar...
