Gorgeous views of the Mackinaw bridge! I have pictures of my 7yo here when he was a toddler running through the sand. Now my 19mo old gets to enjoy the same park. There's swimming allowed here, but there's also a sign posted to swim at your own risk. My 7yo was so excited, however, we didn't know thr rocks would be so sharp! Due to the sharp rocks and no water shoes, he was only able to go out to his knees and just sat down in the water in his desperate attempt to swim. I felt bad for him, I remember the excitement of wanting to swim at a beach! Overall it was still fun. Plenty of shady spots and benches to sit.

This park is a great place to stop and stretch your legs, and get some photos of the beautiful Mackinac Bridge! When the blue ice happens in the winter time, this is a wonderful place to set up and get photos. During the summer, this park can get very busy on the weekends, but during the week, it's a bit slower. There is a public restroom here, there is a beautiful lighthouse to enjoy as well! Take time to stop and take a break and enjoy the view!
