Murdicks Famous Fudge — Local services in Mackinaw Township

So, their fudge is smooth, delicious, fresh, lasts a while if you keep it sealed tight!

BUT, I've come here several times since Kindergarten to my middle-age, & always the folks behind the counter are scary cold! When I was a kid or in my 20s, I thought it was bcuz I didn't spend much money there. Since my 30s I've spent a pretty penny there each time, but it always feels like the person behind the counter has a palpable cold hatred towards me & any human's existence! This time I saw a family with 2 small kids deciding on flavors, & they got the evil eye of contempt too! I always feel emotionally terrible in a Murdick's, & regret giving them more money afterwards. My local orchards have really good, smooth, & fresh fudge without that Murdick taint of hate!

Born and raised in Michigan but moved to the south a few years ago. I frequently visited Mackinaw my entire life, and knew where to get THE BEST fudge. I bought 3 bars of fudge online and was sooo excited!! My husband has never been to Michigan so he was also excited to try it. Well, like I said I live in the south where it's 100+ degrees every day. They shipped their fudge bars wrapped in cellophane, in a standard envelope. I never received a confirmation email once I made my purchase, and had no way to track shipping. Well, the package was sitting in my metal mailbox in 110 degree heat for over a day because I didn't know it had even shipped. They shipped USPS in a standard envelope, fudge wrapped in cellophane. My fudge arrived completely melted, ruined, and tasted absolutely horrible. I was embarrassed. I spoke so highly of this place. My husband took one bite and spit it out. They shouldn't offer online shipping of food items if they can't ship those items properly!!!...

Walked in wasn't greeted at all, I was looking at the turtle chocolates what seemed to be a pretty high price, one of the lady's working there asked me if I would like to try a sample I assumed she meant of the turtle chocolates I had in my hand I was looking at when she asked me if I wanted to try a sample I said sure, she replied which kind would you like to try I said what do you mean can I try a piece of turtle chocolate I was assuming they had either rejects or chopped nibble pieces, she rolled her eyes and laughed and walked away.
