Fort Gift Shop and Candy Kitchen — Attraction in Wawatam Township

I bought 4 pieces of fudge from The Fort Gift Shop & Candy Kitchen for $24 because apparently, I enjoy making bad decisions. Not only were the slices tiny, but after buying them, I spotted other shops selling fudge twice the size for the same price. I felt like I’d been fudged and not in a good way.

The taste? Oh boy. It was like eating a sugar cube that had been rolled in chemicals and disappointment. I checked the label and counted 23 ingredients. Pretty sure actual fudge doesn’t need a full novel of additives. Honestly, it’s the worst fudge...

Their fudge is absolutely amazing. The only complaint I have is don’t order it online because it takes forever for you to get it like 10 days and you’re literally just downstate and I talked to USPS and they said that the reason that is cause they only paid six dollars for shipping when I was charged 12 for shipping. Not sure why that was but if I would’ve got it within five days, it would’ve been worth the price. Well we’re talking about 10 days later and I’m still waiting so I will not be ordering online again. I hope the fudge is worth it...

This is our family's favorite fudge and salt water taffy shop in Mac! Have been coming here for years, the location is super easy to hop off and back on I-75, at least coming south from crossing the Mackinaw bridge.
