Church by the Sea — Attraction in Madeira Beach

I don’t personally attend church, but regarding their thrift store…..I can’t say enough good things about this place!

First and foremost, the staff is absolutely fantastic. They go so above and beyond, one of the staff members always saves paints and art supplies for me, knowing I am a full time Etsy seller. :) They’re very thoughtful and you can tell they are there because they enjoy what they’re doing, and it’s really refreshing.

Both shops have fantastic prices and great quality items. There’s never a need to filter through junk while you’re shopping. There are lots of beautiful, upscale items on the housewares side for some of the best prices of any local thrift store. The linens are especially fantastic. The clothing side almost always has a a great sale running like all items over $5 are $2 etc. I’ve literally purchased what would easily be considered a whole new wardrobe of almost all name brand pieces (probably more like 2 times over!) for under $100. I’ve even scored a Michael Kors leather tote for around $10.

It’s absolutely worth the stop at the ATM because they’re cash only, and adjusting your schedule since they’re hours are limited, to shop both of these great stores. I absolutely recommend them over any other thrift shops...

Well the chicken church is everything you expected to be. What more do I have to say. I'd be happy to give them 5 stars and walk on, but I was a little disappointed to see them clearly commercializing the chicken thing. Maybe I'm just sick from the red tide, but that seems a bit heretical to me. Then I saw another sign from the pastor, thanking the vets. Now that's just over the top. Of course thoughts and prayers to recovering vets, but why thank them? Christ wasn't thanking any Roman soldiers, the pawns of imperialist projects. He spoke to the poor, the meek, the victims like those that suffer the plight of being born in a place with a 'bad' government and a lot of oil. Why not thank the anti war movement? The people trying to make peace...

This review is not in relation to the church or the congregation, they were all very friendly. My review is about the Google listing when searching for Catholic churches in Maderia Beach this church comes up and it is not Catholic. However, people have asked if the Church is Catholic, the answers the Church gives are deceiving, and that..isn't very Christian like. So, for future reference folks...this church is NOT Catholic and if my review is deleted all o can do is...
