The West Events — Attraction in Madeira Beach

We were so happy we picked The West Events for our wedding! It was the perfect spot for our big day. What drew us in was how beautiful the interior and exterior with. We loved the industrial/chic vibe that it offered and that it was right across the street from the beach! What we ultimately loved was the different spaces that flowed together, the gorgeous bar area, and the cocktail hour space! It was the perfect canvas to our perfect day and we knew we wouldn’t be needing a lot of decorations because the place spoke for itself with its beauty! We did an all inclusive, micro wedding for 65 people and we cannot recommend this venue and the vendors that were part of this package. The moment we stepped foot onto The West Events on our wedding day, all of the stress and worries lifted from our shoulders because we knew that we were in such great hands thanks to all of the management + vendors that were part of our big day. We had such a blast and everything came together perfectly! Our vendors and venue management were very attentive to us and made sure we had everything we needed from handing us water/drinks, to just asking how we were feeling which was so nice! Everything went smoothly, our guests to this day (wedding was 11.15.24) are still talking about the wedding and how it was one of the best they have ever been to. We even were able to get access to the beach for sunset photos which I didn’t think would happen after two hurricanes! We had our wedding at The West Events on 6/3/23, and it was everything we could have dreamed of! I learned about The West Events on Instagram several years ago and was immediately drawn to the beachside location and modern industrial aesthetic. We planned our wedding from Massachusetts so we were anxious about not getting to see the venue prior to booking our date, but Maria was very accommodating and let us do an in-person visit several months before our wedding. She even accommodated a request to change our wedding date shortly after we booked without charging us the additional fee. The day of our wedding, everything ran so smoothly. All of our vendors worked together like a perfectly oiled machine and you could definitely tell they have all worked together before. The fact that they had a list of already approved vendors was also very helpful as we did not have to put a lot of effort into researching vendors on our own. We had our wedding ceremony on the beach (coordinated by Tide the Knot) and a lot of services were made available to make sure the transfer of guests from beach to the venue went smoothly. Our guests loved the courtyard and outdoor bar, and the beautiful beach side views. My partner and I also appreciated the little private bridal suite (with private bathroom) so we could sneak away from the chaos throughout the evening. The venue is also very compartmentalized with many different rooms, so you can really utilize the space any way you want for your event. Just over a year ago I walked into The West Events after having a mediocre consultation with another local venue. Laurie greeted me at the door and right away I had a pretty strong feeling that this venue was everything I wanted in a space to get married in. The location and vibe of this venue is unique and beautiful. I loved that it had an industrial feel with the concrete floors and exposed ceilings. I loved that there is different spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all on the same property and and I loved that you could tell the women who run this establishment pride themselves in providing only the best experiences. Maria was always happy to answer any random questions I thought of over my year+ of planning, and was always very quick to respond. As for the day of, it was beautiful and the team of people working together to make everything come to life was beyond impressive. I think our guests were wow’d as much as we were. I never really had a “dream wedding” in mind growing up, but this was it. It was fantastic start to finish and now a week later it’s still taking up most of my mind.
