My friend and me were happy regular customers here for over 2 years until now. I've been satisfied with the service given by all the staffs except two girls worked today's night shift (05/05), who made us really upset. I understand that different bartenders have different ways of making tea, but the flavor and service must be guaranteed. My friend and me ordered two black ice tea with guava and lychee flavor. The bartender turned out two cups of tea were so light that we couldn't taste the flavor of neither tea nor syrup. We came back and asked she to add some more syrup for both of us, and she looked upset and told me to ask for more sugar next time. I want tea with right flavor, not sugar added to tea. She gave us the second cup of tea with too much syrup that the liquids've been concentrated, and it tasted like syrup with ice. I decided to give her third chance on my tea by ask her please put some more tea on it. She gave me an impolite and uncooperative attitude by turning back and replaying my words with other staff which made me feel so annoyed and disrespectful. She ended up my tea with a haft cup of concentrated black tea and the rest is my second cup of tea. My friend's tea really looked like syrup with some water and ice. I believe she is a new staff that I haven't met before. She need to improve her working skills and attitudes toward customers. I don't pay and tip well to get that piss...
Read moreI've had really strange experience here, multiple times. There is way too much attitude for a bubble tea place. Maybe this is one of the few bubble tea places in Madison so they feel entitled to treat people like that. But as someone who travelled an lived in many countries/cities, a good number of them Asian - please, give me the tea the way I asked for.
The people who work there have this thing that they want to tell you "no you don't know what you want", and force you to have it their way. Maybe others don't have this experience, I hope I was not treated this way because I am an Asian female.
I was nicely putting up with it at the beginning, since it opens late and I can work there till 11pm. But today was it. They made it completely un-drinkable and I tossed the entire thing. They forced me to change my order of Royal Tea Latte to Black Tea Latte, and the black tea was bitter. I know tea, and this is just rude to the entire tea culture. I do not suggest this place if you actually have knowledge about tea and don't want to be told to change your order because " what you wanted to order...
Read moreThe absolute best cafe/tea/boba shop in Madison! This is my go-to place to get work done, meet up with a friend, or just have a good time. They also have a bookshelf of board games. The menu is super extensive, creative, and affordable. There are nearly 20 different flavored syrups to choose from, and the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They also do a mystery drink for $4 which is a great way to try different things at a really low price. Cool music is always playing and there is rotating artwork by local artists on the walls. There is also a small merchandise section that includes apparel, plushies, accessories, pins, tea, and more. They host a lot of events such as monthly trivia and free tea classes. The owner, Holly, is super nice and welcoming and overall it's just good vibes. Since there is limited seating, it can be slightly harder to find a seat during busy times, but usually there's always a seat or two available. All seats are also reserved during...
