We could not have asked for a better wedding experience! My word of the wedding weekend was “Easy.” Everything was so seamless from the first day we met with Jennifer (owner) to the day of the event. We found Gather via an online search with the TheKnot and fell in love with the photos and added it to our list of potential venues. We visited many venues within our budget all over the North Texas area and our last stop on the list was Gather in Downtown McKinney. The moment we walked into the venue we gasped – the pictures do NOT do this venue justice. Don’t get me wrong, the pictures are gorgeous, but you NEED to see this venue in person and you’ll fall even more in love with the charm and uniqueness this venue provides. In addition to a wonderful venue you get to work with one of the most amazing women I’ve ever met, Jennifer (owner). She is FABULOUS! She made us feel like a member of the family the moment we walked in. She genuinely cares about your wedding and wants it to be as perfect as it possibly can be. Let’s talk about the wedding day: Jennifer was the MVP of our wedding day!! I had nothing to worry about outside of my hair and makeup. Jennifer and her team are ROCKSTARS and handled everything (including all the set-up)! Our guests were amazed at the attention to detail, cleanliness, and positive attitudes of the staff. On to another important detail: Food. We did not want to serve “typical wedding food” to our guests and were a bit nervous walking into our tasting night (yes, you get a night dedicated to tasting all sorts of yummy food). We were blown away at how delicious everything was. Our guests were extremely happy with the meal options and we did not hear one complaint about our food…only positives reviews from the apps all the way to the desserts. I could go on and on and on about why Gather and Jennifer made our wedding day so incredibly special…I’m tearing up a little bit just writing this review…they are really that amazing!! After contacting and visiting a couple of other venues during the summer of 2020, followed up by Gather, we could immediately tell that there is just something different here. Both the venue and the surrounding area in Downtown McKinney are absolutely charming and unique. The venue has so much character, between the vintage walls and ceilings, candle backdrop, chandeliers, and just the space as a whole. Jennifer (the owner) served as our wedding coordinator, and was proactive in keeping us informed of key dates, decisions to be made, and sharing her expertise as as a whole. Particularly challenging was navigating the ever-changing climate for gatherings created by COVID-19, yet she took it all in stride and kept us encouraged throughout the process. When it came to the wedding day itself, Jennifer made the whole day run so smoothly and efficiently, both in ensuring that all vendors were on site and ready to go at their designated times, and also helping to coordinate the flow of the pre-ceremony events such as our first look and other group/family photos to keep everything moving along as efficiently as possible. She even went the extra mile in consulting with us prior to the ceremony/during the reception with any recommended changes to the timeline or events based on how everything was progressing along. Through it all, her mission was truly to make the day what we envisioned, and she and the Gather staff truly excelled! We truly cherish our experience at Gather and would not hesitate to recommend this incredible venue and company to others!

Before Covid started, we had originally planned our wedding for 200 people in late December but with things escalating we decided that we would postpone our “big” wedding until 2021 and continue with a small church ceremony followed by a backyard BBQ at our home. I took it upon myself to try and surprise my wife by booking a small venue where we could at least get together to have a few drinks and eat some dinner. But what I didn’t think I would find is Jennifer and her awesome team at Gather! After explaining to her that we were looking for a last-minute venue (3 weeks out) for about 20 friends and family to host a dinner to celebrate our wedding, she took it upon herself to plan a perfect reception! She was awesome and became our day-of coordinator, working with us to plan out the whole 3 hours that would include a happy hour, grand entrance, dinner, first dance/family dances, toasts, and even a few hours of dancing with friends. The night was perfect! We didn’t have to worry about anything, we just told her some of our ideas and she took them and executed them flawlessly, from setting up some custom cornhole boards we made, to setting up our cake, signs, and putting out pictures, it was perfect! Jennifer was really easy to work with, she was so quick to respond to any questions we had, she made sure that our guests were having a good time and she gave us the perfect worry-free night.
