Beware: Karen Alert 🚨! The customer service was nonexistent. We walked in to no greeting or any type of acknowledgment at all. The lady aka Karen walked right past us on several occasions fulfilling other guests orders as if we weren’t there. When we asked if anyone was available to help us on the creamery side she gave full attitude and everything but the bird flew out her mouth in response to a simple question. She then kept doing what she was doing which all in all led to our decision to leave the establishment because clearly we weren’t going to put up with that but it was noted and we will not be back and it will not be a place we’ll recommend to anyone in the future. Our experience will be passed along to those that ask and I surely hope those that see this think twice as well as this was truly the opposite of family-friendly and might as well have been a full-on bar with the amount of time the staff member spent over there on the bar side and more than went out of her way to ghost and blatantly ignore anyone on the creamery side. Best avoided if you value your time and mental. What an incredibly nasty way to treat a new customer!

Update:

Following reading the owner’s response, here’s what I have to say… I too stopped reading after he said, “I'm happy to apologize for honest mistakes… and no actual or real apology or accountability was taken. That’s to be expected, which speaks volumes!” Going to a local creamery is meant to be a delight however this establishment again has no interest in it really and the customer service and nasty behaviors further confirm this. My recommendation is to be the best bar you can be and let that be that because so many families look forward to the traditional creamery experience and for you not be able to deliver on this will forever put a bad taste in future visitors mouth when all is said and done, especially if nothing changes and nothing was learned from this. What a shame!

Final Update:

And again, “THIS IS THE OWNER”, what a circus! You stand on that sinking ship of yours proudly and high and mighty. The award for Donkey of the day is...

Discovered this place while walking around downtown McKinney on a Friday evening. The place is on the outskirts of the square and it doesn't look like an ice cream place from the outside. At first I thought they only sold donuts, but the owner explained that they also sold homemade ice cream with booze (he also has a few non-boozy flavors). He was super nice and let us try as many flavors as we wanted. I liked all the flavors we sampled, but my favorite was cookies and booze which is a new flavor. The alcohol isn't overwhelming and leaves a nice taste in your mouth. The ice cream reminds me of the kind you get at the old fashion parlor type places where it's made with real cream, rich and decadent. It is a little more expensive than regular ice cream but I think it's totally worth it because you're paying for the alcohol and quality ingredients. All of the ice cream was kept covered in little tubs and didn't see any ice formation anywhere. The place is kept clean and decor is nice. They have live music on Fridays and would be a cute place to hang out at night. Would...

I recently stumbled upon a hidden gem called Cocktail Creamery, and let me tell you, it's an absolute must-visit! This place is pure magic. They've taken the classic ice cream parlor and given it a boozy twist that's simply irresistible.

The atmosphere is electric. The moment you walk in, you're hit with this incredible energy – a perfect blend of fun and sophistication. Live music filled the air, and the place was buzzing with excitement. It's the kind of spot where you can easily lose track of time, laughing and catching up with friends.

Their flavor combinations are out of this world. I mean, who would've thought to pair ice cream with liquor? Genius! I loved being able to create my own little tasting flight. As a whiskey lover, I was in heaven trying their whiskey-infused flavors. The creamy ice cream balanced out the bold spirit perfectly.

If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable dessert experience, Cocktail Creamery is your spot. Trust me, your taste buds...

This place is adorable!! Super family friendly even though almost all of their ice cream has alcohol in it! Sharon helped us and was so so kind. We got a flight which is perfect for 2 people to share! It’s like $12 and you get 4 flavors! (Comparable to ordering 2 smalls). Mango margarita: sharp, sweet but not too sweet, strong mango flavor, not watery!! (This is hard to do in a sorbet!) Very smooth, little tang at the end. Delicious! Moscow mule: not our favorite! STRONG ginger taste, hard to follow the sweet mango marg for sure. Great for people who don’t like sweet! Tongue on fire like a shot of wheatgrass or green juice. We didn’t finish it hahaha (not bad just should have ordered something else.) Strawberry Cheesecake: YUM! So creamy!!!! So thick. Light, not too sweet, not too fruity, no alcohol taste. This was by far our favorite! Chocolate Hazelnut: not too obvious, hints of Nutella? No alcohol taste! Loved the nutty chunks! Overall: 10/10. Prices, vibes, food!!
