This place is the perfect place to take the family to get ice cream on a nice sunny day. If the cheerful canary yellow doesn't brighten your day their tasty offerings will. We stopped by this ice cream parlor on our way home from the library. Upon entering we were greeted by the owners. They were very friendly and were very kind to my boys. I love supporting local, family owned businesses and this place makes it easy to support them with the creative, fresh and delicious options they offer. The interior was bright and clean and had a few tables along the wall to enjoy sweet treats. My sons both love cotton candy so they opted for the Day Dream which consist of soft ice cream, rainbow crunch, a chocolate wafer stick and is wrapped with a swirl of freshly made cotton candy! They were blown away, two of their favorite things in one package! As I was speaking with one of the owners about the menu items I noticed there was a dairy free option as I no longer consume dairy and was delighted to find out that it is made with oat milk! Most places I have visited use coconut milk which can have an aftertaste that spoils any other flavor other than coconut or the ice cream is hard as a rock. This ice cream was very soft and creamy due to the oat milk and the flavor was good, not super sweet due to it being made from mango purée and not sugar syrups and artificial flavorings. I was extremely delighted to find a place that makes a good dairy free ice cream as I normally have to make my own! To keep things interesting they change flavors every month. I will definitely return next month to check them out; I cannot wait to see what the flavor will be. We might be returning sooner than later since my boys cannot stop talking about the Day Dream!

My family of four loved this creative ice cream so much! We had all the flavors between us. My favorite was the milk ice cream with a waffle and the homemade crunchy sugar topping. The welcoming family who runs this adorable shop are so passionate about their products, brilliant marketing, and their customers. Once inside, you feel transported to a different place (Oahu comes to mind) while it still being the perfect addition woven into downtown McKinney’s charm and most importantly the family experience on the square. Wander on in with your family or friends and I promise you won’t be disappointed in what you find!! We love to support local businesses especially that are unique to McKinney and one of a kind!

The dairy they use is high quality! I still feel good after I eat it, unlike my usual reaction to dairy. The owners are so sweet and really know what they are doing. Everything there is SO GOOD. The espresso affogato is my favorite (even my husband that doesn't like coffee will eat it) and satisfies that espresso need. The espresso marries with the sweetness of the ice cream. And if you don't want a whole large affogato, you can order a small Miruku milk in a cup and top it with espresso! They've got different monthly flavors that I look forward to trying, even a dairy free flavor! The two recently were passion fruit and Thai tea. The passion fruit had a great flavor (and I'm really impressed by that as an option) and the Thai tea was actually my favorite of the two. I wasn't expecting to enjoy it so much, and it came topped with these brown sugar Boba (which I don't normally like Boba or brown sugar) and it was absolutely fabulous. UPDATE for June: the seasonal flavors are Taro (soon excited) and lemon! They also have Yuzu stuff (it is like a cross between a lemon and orange), and I've never had something so refreshing!!

The best part is that if you manage to have leftovers, they actually refreeze really well!! Just pull out of the freezer a few minutes before you want to eat it and the texture and flavor is still perfect. They have coffee, matcha, and tea you can get there too, and even offer Almond or Oatmilk alternatives for your drink. They are super quick about getting your order out too! Even if there's a lot of people, the wait won't be long. What you order does actually look like the pictures too!! Definitely stop in and give it a try! It's a lovely treat to come here, and it's always nice to see the owners, smiling and working...

EDIT: I CALLED THEY'RE OPEN!!! đŸš€ I'M IN LOVE, I'M IN LOVE, AND I DON'T CARE WHO KNOWS IT - Buddy the Elf.

Not only am I giving them my two thumbs up, but everyone else's who lives on the the planet! Yes, your thumbs have been accounted for. You're welcome.

My taste buds were in heaven. If I were not in public I'd have motorboatedđŸš€ that Coco Sago ice cream with a swift vengeance last night. It was perfection and should be served year round. I will mourn it's departure. 😭 Coconut soft serve, coconut milk - sweet with a subtle saltiness, with tiny tapioca pearls, beautifully ripe mango đŸ„ and I added warm mochi. 😋 Could it have been any more delicious - no. It was perfection I tell you. PERFECTION!

Today, I dream of going back for another taking but they're closed for the Labor Day holiday - NOOOOO!!!

If I had deep pockets I'd buy you all an ice cream because I have faith y'all would love it too. But I don't, unless I win that $1.1 billion dollar lotto tonight.

But tomorrow... I'll happily float over and open their front door beaming with joy like a kid in an ice cream shop. I just might order another one after I'm done. (I must set a reminder to not eat 4 hours before my visit because I may be so bold to have a third.) No shame here.

Don't judge me, just go get yourself a delightful, delectable treat. Break that diet. Breeeaak it.

GO!!!! Get yourself a treat! 🍩

My only regret is not taking a picture. I couldn't be bothered to do such a thing, but next time, next time I'll have my camera ready for a quick snap before the...
