Downtown McMinnville is in serious need of a remodel.... It's looked the same for years and still the city has not brought in an expert Urban planner to redevelop the street and surrounding neighborhoods...

Poor signage, a sad mix of dated retailers, homeless people on all corners, broken planters, broken sidewalks..

If this is supposed to be the heart of the luxurious and sophisticated Oregon wine country, it's got a long way to go...

Who decided that it's okay for every business to put three to five folding placards out on the street? It's so trashy and cheesy..

Yes, there are a few nice small hotels and a couple of great restaurants, but by no means is this at the same level of Northern California wine country towns..

I love downtown McMinnville. Living here for the last 4 years is and has been a joy. The small town feels it like we're all family and friends who look out for one other. The mom and pop restaurants are delicious, with wine tasting on every corner and shopping for unique art, fashion, and antiques on 3rd Street, which are fun to go and enjoy. Visiting the airplane museum to see the spruce goose built by Howard Hughes is so interesting. Wings and waves water park is fun for the whole family. Come check out our wonderful, beautiful town....

Was a nice small town Main Street with a variety of businesses, now mostly tasting rooms and some really good restaurants. Several fun antique shops. Great tourist draw, not as much for locals unless you're going out for a meal. It's more enjoyable to walk than drive, to fully appreciate the architecture and variety of historic buildings. Downgraded from 5 stars because of the increasing transient problem. I always drive with my doors locked and carry pepper spray when I walk,...
