A beautiful spot on the river with a unique setup. We loved the shaded areas to sit and eat, and the hammocks were a fun and relaxing touch.
It's more of an... adult... playground? Can that be a thing that's not meant to be dirty? There were hammocks instead of swings, a couple of rope-type floors that weren't really bouncy enough or "fun" enough for kids, and no slides or anything. I'm not complaining, it was a really cool design that I haven't seen before, but I'm not sure it would be a park our kids would jump at the chance to go back to.
I could absolutely see myself going here for a quiet lunch and a book, or on a quiet walk along the river as a date.
The worst part is that there weren't any restrooms nearby that we could see... we ended up walking over to the Tennessee...
Read moreI come to River Garden every Tuesday for Yoga that the Downtown Memphis Commission hosts. It’s wonderful. It is great for families with children or for couples who just want to lay out on the lawn and chill. The park is clean, the greenery is nice and I really like the seating additions they’ve made. I do feel safe there but I would like to see the security ride by a little more often, just to display a presence.
