UPDATE: This is a beautiful hotel that needs better hotel staff training. So many things went wrong with my stay (Including staff walking into my room when it was occupied) and here are the hotel's response.

1. The first night a dog on the 8th floor was barking from 8:00pm. I was in and out of sleep and finally got ready at 6am and went downstairs to the front desk to complain. After talking to the front desk and security, I learned that someone else had already complained and the guard confirmed that they too started to hear the dog bark the previous night. The front desk said they didn't have a number on file for the guest, so they could not make the call (Which is very odd). I lingered for a bit and left when the front desk finally made a call to the room's occupant about their dog.

Why wasn't this already taken care of when the staff had already noticed something was wrong? I also realize that the staff has an attitude of "no, not possible" at first until finally doing something about a situation. THEY ARE NOT PROACTIVE. Hotel Response: No one reached out to me about this incident until I completed a mini survery on my phone and management called. They canceled my resort fee.

2. The second morning, as I was getting dressed, AN EMPLOYEE WALKED INTO MY ROOM! They scanned their keycard and had bags! I was so shocked and appalled by this because this is the biggest no no. They also did not knock before coming in.

As a woman that's traveling alone, this was an evasion of privacy and I DID NOT FEEL SAFE in my room after this. I ran out of the room to confront the employee and to get this sorted with the front desk but they just said they got the wrong room.

Hotel's Response: I texted management and they called. Originally, they said the best that they can do is give me a free lunch/dinner, a cabana, or a free stay. They could not refund my stay because I booked the trip through chase/Expedia.

Later management said they would give me a ONE DAY refund. This has still not processed and its been a week since my stay. My credit card has confirmed that a refund is possible.

I was very hopeful about my stay when I was able to check in early and got a personal call from management. Honestly, if the staff was a bit more detail oriented and proactive many of these incidents could have been avoided.

I will not be booking this hotel again for myself or the executives I book for in the future.

I will be making a Miami trip soon and I called the front desk for some guidance. Specifically, I asked about the fee and what is included.

The interaction felt a bit off especially because I asked if they could send me an email with the perks. The person on the phone told me she will not be sending me the email and that I can check the information online myself. I've actually checked the website previous to the call and I was having trouble finding the information I needed. I felt that I wasn't given much help.

I book hotels on the daily and I've never had an interaction that felt off. I've always had hotel staff that were patient and helped me with information, especially when I am not familiar with the area.

This hotel was recommended to me by a friend, so I was very excited for my stay. Now I am unsure if I picked a good hotel to stay at.
