First, I'll start with: she was nice, that's the only reason they earned two stars.
For those trying to locate them, they can be found in the building directly across from the mattress store, the first "studio " door on the east side. You will walk through the door, past micro salons, and to the back where suite 10 and 11 are located. They have a bench and a chair.
On to the appointment. I was 15 minutes early for my appointment since they make it a point to stress their cancelation and late policy in which they charge $10. This isn't reciprocal if they're late. I was scheduled for an appointment at 9:30 and wasn't seen until nearly 10:00. If you're going to have an appointment and cancelation system, stick to it. I respected your time and didn't feel the same in return.
When I was brought into the room, I told her right away that I would like a strip of hair left in the pubic region despite booking a Brazilian. I'm not a fan of the prepubescent look.. (this was completely ignored... and I wasn't able to see until I got home. Fortunately, it grows back..)
As other reviewers said, they don't give you privacy to disrobe nor do they offer a privacy towel. The paper cover they use is thin and covers only a small portion of the table. (Please invest in wider sterile paper) when I asked her about remaining in the room she said "I'm going to see it anyway " yeah, you are, but, even my gynecologist gives me privacy when I disrobe. It is uncomfortable and unprofessional.
The wax was fine, the positions they have you in during waxing is a bit odd and uncomfortable, a lot less customer centric than other salons that promote treating their customers with dignity..
As a whole, it was fine, but, I think I'll stick to Wax me too, or another waxing studio in the future based purely on lack of following instructions, lack of professional courtesy and privacy, ...
Read moreI have never left a review before but I just want to warn people. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. It was a terrible experience. I’m writing this at 2am as I can’t sleep because of the pain.
I agree with the person who said to go to radiant waxing instead. I went there and had a great experience. Will go there again if I ever need waxing. (don’t ever wanna get one after today again though)
I received a coupon for 20$ brazilian wax. I leave on a trip tomorrow so I thought i’d book it. It was super strange right off the bat. Jasmine asked me to undress and she stayed in there while I did so(and again after I was done before paying she just waited for me to put my pants on) Usually they leave the room while you do this and it was just super unprofessional.
There was a tiny teeny white paper over the bed that didn’t cover the whole thing which made me uncomfortable and thinking about it is very unsanitary.
Jasmine was nice but kept having to go over the same spot and could not get the hair in one pull. I left with bruises, red and white bumps all over. It’s been 12 hours and my area is still red in lots of pain and hot to the touch. I also feel nauseous. Not to mention it just overall looks terrible and I’m leaving for vacation tomorrow. I am just hoping that I do not have an infection and my whole vacation won’t be ruined.
Not to mention Jasmine just kept asking if I wanted a membership repeatedly and was very pushy.
I hope that I can get a refund at the least and also hope that I won’t have to make a trip to the urgent care for an infection on...
Read moreI'm not sure if it was Skye or Sara that waxed me because the appointment confirmation said one name & the person texting me was another. She was a younger girl with a bunch of tattoos. She was nice but the entire appointment was not so great. Right off the bat things felt awkward when she stayed in the room when she asked me to get undressed & dressed again at the end of the appointment. I was still left with hair and pieces of blue wax everywhere that was stuck to my clothes. It was extremely painful trying to pull the pieces of wax off myself. During the appointment it hurt just when she was applying the wax. I told her it felt really hot but her response was, "you're more sensitive because it has been waxed now" but it felt way too hot from the very beginning. It felt like it was burning my skin. I am no Esthetician but it has never felt that hot when I've been waxed before.
Thank goodness I have experience getting waxed because she didn't bother to explain, or educate on anything. If it wasn't for me trying to make conversation I'm not sure if she would have said anything. If you don't want to talk or try & make things a little less awkward with clients I suggest finding a job in a different field. It has been several years since my last wax but this was by far the most painful & uncomfortable appointment yet. I have a high pain tolerance but this was brutal. I will definitely not be back.
