Batteries Plus — Attraction in Mifflin Township

-posted on 7/11/2017- If I could give this place negative stars, I would!! Please, if you are looking to repair your phone, DO NOT come to this store, it is an absolute NIGHTMARE!! I dropped my phone on a bike ride so I decided to go here because it was the closest place near me and I was leaving for a trip in a few days. My screen only had ONE crack on it from the top to the bottom, no spreading, just one single crack. My phone was working perfectly when I came in, so I gave them an hour to fix it, after they tried to sell me everything under the sun. I came back and picked it up and after I began using it, my phone was ghosting like crazy (by ghosting I mean pulling up and exiting apps and pressing on things without me even touching it). After my trip I went back to the store and told them to fix that, and they told me they couldn't, blaming the problem on me and Apple and the creation of the iPhone 7 itself! Since they were so incompetent, I told them to put my cracked screen back on and refund my money, which surprisingly they agreed to do. I then had to wait an hour as they undid everything, and when I came back, they handed me back my phone and the screen was completely and utterly DESTROYED!!!!! I would guess there are several thousand cracks on the screen, and when I asked about it, they (very nastily) told me they had "gotten rid of" my old screen and so this was the only broken one they could put on. They even had to put tape over the whole screen otherwise the screen would cut my fingers (if I would attempt to use it which I am not until I get it fixed by someone with a brain) or just fall off. I CAME OUT OF THE STORE WORSE THAN WHEN I WENT INTO IT. So please, if you are reading this, GO TO THE APPLE STORE! It is the same price, if not less, and it is an actual Apple brand screen and not some third-party bullcrap that...

John, the master tech who helped me yesterday was absolutely amazing. Best repair experience I've ever had. I had a water damaged iPhone 6S+ that stopped turning on and I just wanted to grab my photos off. I drove 50 minutes to Apple just for them to hear "water damage" and simply offer "no" or "pay 1000 dollars and we can send it to a data recovery lab", not even one other solution or option... I pulled up my map and noticed this shop was 7 minutes away. I called just to see if it's something they do and got "yes, absolutely!" instead of "no", which was an instant relief. Great customer service-- I scheduled an appointment and they took me immediately when I walked in, and I got a discount just for scheduling ahead!!! The repair took 10 minutes tops, which absolutely blew my mind. John was thorough, trying more than one method to fix when the first when did not work -- not all stores are willing to go that extra mile. Being a female who also works in technology support/ repair, I was also very impressed with how the technicians didn't try to use intimidating tech speak, or try to act like I was an idiot :) Good people helping good people. I can't say Thank you enough to Kyle and Tristan for helping me with obtaining a second key for my truck. I had been all over town to some of the brand name and other key making establishments in Westerville. One place leading me on for two days, then when when I finally arrived after their phone call to me, I was told "SORRY" we can't make that key and no one else in Columbus/Westerville or the surrounding area could make it except the dealer and it would cost me 300.00 to 400.00 dollars (key with fob attached). I originally had made a call to Batteries+Bulbs but putting them last on my list it would be my last stop. I should have made it my first!!!!! I walked in and spoke with Tristan who, within minutes told me YES they could cut the key. Kyle took over to get us the key cut and we were on our way after programming it. I will tell everyone about Batteries+Bulbs. Experienced staff, friendly, organized and certainly know what they are doing and selling.
