Today they were filming a documentary there the security guys told me that the skyway was closed and I said well it's open to the public it's public and so they wanted to argue whether the IDS center is publicly owned or privately owned and they seem to want to gang up on me so American Security is probably not the best company because they hassle people who work there yet I get panhandled by the same two individuals and they do it aggressively and they do it every day but the thing is beware they profile people if you have a backpack you have a good chance of being harassed unless you're with a group of people. At the end of the day they would rather throw homeless people onto the street who aren't bothering anyone yet they allow panhandlers to aggressively apply their trade every single day it is so...
Read moreIts a beautiful place. We were at a gathering on the 50th floor. The employees were terrific. Friendly, knowledgeable & professional. It was pretty quiet in the IDS BLDG due to arriving after 6. What a view from the 50th floor!! We walked the hole circle of Windows & could see so much! We could see downtown Mpls perfectly, we could see a few things in St Paul but it was crazy seeing the huge rain cloud coming our way. It was awesome. I haven't been in the IDS for over 20 years. Its still pretty much the same, but it was great to come back to it again. Brought many old memories back. I'd recommend going to visit the IDS Bldg. at least once in your life. More if possible. Down town Mpls. really is a fun place to be. Day or night! Just be aware of your surroundings & you'll have a...
Read moreThis is the home of the Crystal Court, an amazing wide open area with seating and many restaurants around. Two of the great features are the towering indoor rain fountain and live trees with real birds flying around. If you're lucky one of them will land near your table to see if you will give a little scrap of bread. There are local art exhibits on display quite often and if you need an ATM you are in luck as there are many of them available right there. I'd say it's a must see if you're visiting from out of town as it is in the iconic IDS building, but it is not a place you can expect to spend hours wandering around. It's good for a quick visit and maybe a meal, but it's not a major attraction filled with tons of...
