Let me just tell you this place is awesome. First off it is clean, friendly, and fun. We were here on vacation, when we decided to book a time slot here. There was a very minor issue when we had arrived. We wanted to just play as a family being it was my birthday an also my wife an I both have strong anxiety, so it sounds silly but made us anxious to play with others, plus our 2 boys. This was very minor but let me tell you Christan A, one of the managers. stepped in an just blew me away with his customer service. After everything was solved, Christan stepped outside an got to know my family alittle. He did more for my family then I could ever imagine, an topped it of by giving me ice cream for my birthday. We decided to book again an he made it happen an was excited to see us come back. We had a blast an so much fun when we played. We decided to play again in 1 hr after, but when we were almost ready to go again to play we got a phone call our dog was sick an needed iv at boarder. We decided to leave vacation early, sad but important to get home. When I stopped by the escape room to ask to see if I could get a refund, Christan again jumped right in, got us a refund. He also was very caring about our dog. He wanted us to be calm an just think of our dog he gave us a game to play at home on him after we have our dog safe at home. Christan I just want to say thank you for just being a great human being an my family thanks you!! I hope your company reads this an knows what kind of person you are, because you sir deserve the best. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for just caring about us! We will see you again on next vacation I hope. I would also like to thank Drew and Hailey for being amazing game instructors an for making our time there a blast!! You both took time with us an made sure we had fun!! We sincerely thank you all,...

I was so surprised to see The Escape Game was willing to put up that many pictures of their rooms online. And a 3D rendering of their rooms! Are they that confident the rooms would still be challenging? Hmm. We’ve done dozens of escape rooms and we appreciate those that have an immersive experience/decor, that are well maintained, where the puzzles and clues and logical and the game master gives just the right amount of help. Ours (Hi Alyssa!!!) did.

Despite the online spoilers, The Escape Game in Myrtle beach still hit all the right notes.

We did the Special Ops/Mysterious Market escape room with our 2 children aged 12 and 14 (who have some experience) and we escaped with 8 minutes left. Regarding the time, during the game, there are 2 additional interludes where a video plays as part of the storyline (and my kid noticed that it took up more than 4 minutes!) So if you’re tracking the clock as closely as we do, trying to beat your own record, take note of that! I do wish they’d stop the clock during those moments… They have a dedicated game master watching your team, so when we asked for a hint, Alyssa always responded promptly and gave just a slight nudge.

The puzzles in the room were unique- we didn’t feel like we were repeating the same type (e.g. Word plays, visual puzzles, ciphers etc) more than once. We also really enjoyed the fact that there were a lot of physical puzzles and not just get-a-code-and-unlock-this-keypad/lock.

Special shout out to Jose in the front of house who, in between checking guests in, made sure my younger son, who chose to wait for us in the lobby, was happy and entertained. That was not in Jose’s job description but he chose to be kind. We would totally come again if we’re in the area and we can’t wait to check out their...

Our family absolutely loves escape rooms, and we do them every opportunity we can, The Escape Game Myrtle Beach provided two absolutely great challenges for us. We completed the “Timeliner: Train through time” escape room first, had dinner, then completed the “Prison Break” escape room next.

We booked both rooms online, and completed the waivers before we arrived. Note you must complete waivers for each room. Each room has up to 8 players and we used 5 each time. I highly recommend you check out the website beforehand and read about each of the games, very helpful. Especially the difficulty ratings.

Shanalee and Lydia were our room hosts for Timeliner. They were outstanding. Friendly and great customer service. This was rated a 7/10 difficulty. Using a time travel machine, you must travel through decades to fix issues to escape. We completed the challenge with just over 14 minutes remaining.

“Prison Break” was our second escape room. Probably one of my favorite escape rooms of all time. This was rated 9/10 difficulty. Mason was our host for this room and again outstanding customer service. For this challenge your team is split into two separate prison cells and you must work together to escape. We completed the challenge with just over 9 minutes remaining. Boy was that one fun!

So overall, a great set of escape rooms. We definitely will be back to attempt the other three. The theming is outstanding and the staff is even better. Shanalee, Lydia and Mason were great, and the front desk team was as well. Could not have asked for more.

So if you are visiting Broadway on the Beach, I highly recommend you set aside 60 minutes and try an escape room at this location. You won’t be...

I've been to probably a dozen different escape rooms in both North and South Carolina, and The Escape Game at Myrtle Beach is far and away my favorite place. The rooms are diverse and of remarkable quality. Whether you enjoy more analog puzzles or like more electrical gadgets, this place has both in quantity. The rooms were challenging, the set design was beautiful, but to me this was not what sets the location apart from other escape rooms. As corny as it sounds, the staff is what makes the location magical. Those that have experienced different escape rooms probably know that a bad or inexperienced staff/GM can ruin the experience. Will and Jay were remarkable GMs our first day, and spoke to my partner and I with enthusiasm and genuine interest. We talked about other escape rooms and various nerd hobbies, and they seemed to love working at the Escape Game. They also sympathized with my partner and I regarding our cancelled Medieval Times experience, and sent us home with some goodies from the store! We loved the experience so much we came back the next day to do two more rooms and got to meet two more lovely staff members (shoutout to Lydia and Christian) who were just as wonderful and even made us a few sweet cards congratulating my partner and I on our 2 year anniversary. The rooms were great and again, I cannot stress how wonderful the staff is. 5/5. 6/5 with rice

We had a blast! Our puzzle and math-loving 6 year old has been desperate to do an escape room ever since he learned about them. I was worried we wouldn’t be able to find a family-friendly experience but was pleasantly surprised to find this company right at Broadway on the beach! I called ahead of time and spoke with Brenda to ask about age-appropriate options - she was helpful, kind, enthusiastic. She recommended Gold Rush based on his age and interests. The next day we showed up and were greeter by incredibly friendly staff who were eager to connect with our kiddo and make his first escape room experience awesome. Lydia ran our game and was lovely, she really made sure our 6 year old was comfortable. The game itself was super fun and there was plenty of stuff for our 6 year old to help with, but also some challenging puzzles for the adults to enjoy! At the end of the game not only did we successfully escape but the Lydia brought our son a signed card from the whole team, and a pack of Pokémon cards as a special prize. It honestly was so special and sweet and will be a constant topic of conversation for our boy in the months to come. He can’t wait to visit again!!! Thanks all!
