Quick Smog + DMV Services + Star Smog — Attraction in Napa

My daughter had totaled her car and we were trying to get the brake, light and smog done to get her salvage title. We went and talked to them to find out exactly what we needed to have complete in order to satisfy the DMV (we drove the car to the shop as it was drivable prior to replacing any parts). They told us the headlight on the right side (it was cracked and not working) and the hood. We replaced the mount for the light (the radiator support) and the light. Got a new hood. We removed the broken grille and bumpercover because we were waiting on the parts we left the broken ones off. When we went back they tried to mansplain how the bumpercover had lights and reflectors in it so it must be on the car (I first off sold car parts and worked for a salvage company for years, secondly I had replaced a bumpercover on a car before so I looked at the cover we took off) I informed both guys there exactly what was on the bumper cover. Fog lights (not required for safety), the lower grille and 2 vents...not 1 reflector on it or light that is safety related. We were then told it has to be returned to original. Ok why did you not say that to begin with??? So I get the backordered bumper cover and the grille installed and take it back. Now they don't have time for 2 more weeks as they are busy and the big guy is on vacation. Sorry? I have taken my cars to this shop for years for smog testing. I have sent them business. Today was raining so bad that I thought I’ll get this smog done another day. But looking at my registration renewal notice, it had to be done today. So I called to see if they take appointments and a very nice gentleman answered the phone. He politely told me to come on in since they don’t take appointments. I arrived about 30 min later. I parked right by the car bays and walked into the office. I was greeted by the same gentleman I spoke with on the phone. He said it would be about 10 min & to have a seat. I'm gonna lose my car because of these scheming greedy smog pros, they won't help you if your car has any issues, meaning codes or any helpful information. Not a good place at all. Lazy workers and not helpful at all. They told me it wasn't ready so drive it 60 miles or so, then they tell me the next time I showed up he said their code reader was lit up with codes which wasn't mentioned to begin with and not going to smog, he was too lazy to give me the codes or any answers.
