We have been long time fans of this place, & have been several times. Itâs a staple for our family. However, this visit had a lot to be desired. Upon arrival , all the rides that were not open. were not posted for customers. So we paid for unlimited fast passes, which were $135 a piece for a family of 4. Then we get to the rides in the fast pass lane, there is only one staff member working it. They could scan our wristband but were not able to let us on the ride, cause they were short staffed. We had to wait several times & eventually let ourselves on. Some rides were cut short because of lack of staff. We order food & the young girl taking our order must have been very new & not knowledgeable on the items they had. We ordered Mac & Cheese . Paid, only for her to tell us 15 later they are out of Mac & Cheese. The girl could not remember who ordered what. Very disorganized. There was another staff member standing at a pretzel stand. There were adult beverages you could order , I tried to purchase one & she stated she was too young to serve alcohol & I would have to go somewhere else. As far as sitting down and eating, if you didnât bring a cooler in, trying to find a place to eat is a nightmare. We sat on the ground, there needs to be designate areas for coolers & another designated area for people that just want to eat & go on. Will we be back, yes, Iâm sure. We just pay so much to get in & ride the rides with fast passes, would be nice to see fully staffed employees or give people a discount on fast passes, if not all fast pass rides...
Read moreFor me, the park is a no brainer. I just moved To the area after my childrens mother and I separated and so having something exciting to do with my 8, 7, and 5 year old on the weekends is important to me. The first time we went was a bit of a let down. It was crazy busy, and I just wasnt prepared. I dont even think we really rode any water slides, instead we kind of explored, did some swimming but kids weren't to interested in standing in lines. Note to self, get their early. I believe park opens at 10. Be there at 930. If you can be first in line and hit sone if the slides that get crowded then the whole day is that much better. On the first trip, I found out you could pack a cooler with snacks and drinks saving a bunch of time, aggravation, and best of all, Money! Wow! Thats cool. Obviously they sell food and drinks but having your own snacks really makes the experience better. I visited for the 3rd time last weekend and we had a blast. Kids are completely unafraid of slides now. And it seems like everytime we go, we discover new slides or areas we hadnt explored before. Pro tip... even though its one park, it actually is separated by a original and then the new additional park. You cannot get to one or the other from within the gates. But there is a free shuttle that runs non stop. I suggest hitting the new park first as the rides there are more popular, newer and are always busy. Anyways, totally stoked that this place is 5 min ride from my house. Im ready to go...
Read moreWe went to Schlitterbahn New on 8/7-8/9 2025. Stayed at The Resort. Which is really is large group of old motel rooms. Our room was very dark and felt like a dungeon. One window only that was covered so you couldnât see out. Three curtain panels that when closed wouldnât cover the window. Bathroom sink wouldnât drain and no water pressure. Shower curtain was too short so the floor got super wet. Filth under one of the two beds. Very thin inner walls between rooms!!!!. I did report all this to the resort front desk.
