I cannot stress enough how much this place sucks. I’ve consistently gone to this location over the last 8 years, and it has taken a nosedive off the deep end. Everything from the staff to the selection to the music (a song about wanting to light the world on fire and watch the children and birds burn followed by the worst college-project style spoken word about someone’s first abortion?? Like, cool, you think you’re so edgy, but tbh it was quite triggering, and I’m as far left as they come) the vibe is awful. And then there’s the selling…I went in to sell recently after not having been there in about a year and was given a whole lecture about how they only buy high end vintage and designer pieces (???????) However, while browsing, you will find filthy CAREBEAR T SHIRTS, ripped polyester dresses, and horribly stained, pilled, and generally very gross designer-warehouse rejects. The place absolutely reeks of body odor and weed. They repeatedly barked at me that they don’t buy fast fashion…ok? You’re a thrift store. Also! Apparently Reformation and Mara Hoffman are too lowbrow and fast fashion for this place. A waste of time, and so unpleasant that I’m writing this review a week after I visited for...

I’ve only shopped here a few times but I really liked the inventory and didn’t think the prices were outrageous like many other curated thrift stores. Most staff are extremely cold and unapproachable but I honestly wouldn’t expect any different from such a place. I think it’s very apt that the staff is so unfriendly.
In terms of selling— I’m convinced that all the bad reviews from people who have tried to sell just don’t understand the resell market. I brought two bags of stuff in today and while half of it was rejected, I still received $380 in store credit. They are more lenient when it comes to accepting vintage than with contemporary clothes. (Things that they accepted from me included true religion jeans, 1960 mod dresses, vintage shearling jackets, new Coach shoes, Von Dutch, air forces, etc.)
Major flaws with my selling process is that I never received a text from them when they were done accessing and I had to call the store to find out they had been finished for hours. Additionally, it is a rather small store and it’s pretty much always packed— which perhaps is really just a testament to...
Read moreI have nice clothes primarily unworn and in-season so I have no idea why none of mine are purchased meanwhile I'm looking around at what's in-store and what other people are bringing in and don't understand why theirs is okay but not mine. There's an obvious and blunt reason why and my friends (who are white) have caught on and no longer sell there. This has happened to me before here and it's a shame. You're in Brooklyn. Your branch especially the buyers should reflect Brooklyn and be more diverse.
__UPDATE Two years later and I still have not gone back into that store. Literally, all of those clothes had NO ISSUE selling on Poshmark within days. Why? Because they were in-style, in-season and of quality. Not F21 or random stores. Dolce & Gabanna, YSL leather jacket, Zara clothes and trench coats from & Other Stories. Nothing was wrong with my clothes. This place has everything wrong with the BUYERS. Go to Poshmark, plus youll get WAY MORE value for your clothing items PLUS free shipping/app download is...
