Reviewers, please prepare for the truth in my review. Should a person want pictures I can email them the pictures of the truth behind staying here at this inn.
If I were able to give this inn no stars it would be just that. For a hotel to be an inn near one of the world's busiest/and most popular airports this brings shame to all Best Western Hotels.
Breakfast Of course, there is the situation with COVID-19 which is understanding but there should be an alternative or remove that statement from the site about free breakfast and when you are able to provide alternate options for breakfast then you can include this in your statement.
Parking Is not free the parking lot has an estimate of 30 parking spots to offer to their guests. Parking is an additional $27 per day, which loops all the way around the building, and then you have street parking which is adjacent to the highway and literally on a busy street so street parking would not be the best option. If you do not believe me take a moment to call Expedia and they will tell you. Calling the hotel they may try to put the fees under something else and say parking is free.
General Manager If you are short-staffed then you as a manager should step up and handle the job for the people that are missing from staff for the day. If someone's room has not been cleaned then you should get your housekeeper hat on and attend to that duty. If there is something that needs to be handled at the front desk then you put on your front desk hat. As a General Manager, you are the face of the business and should be willing to do anything to accommodate the stay of the customer.
Rooms Are comfy. Should be turned over daily to reduce the chances of spreading viruses, as well as maintain proper cleanliness of the hotel overall. Included in being turned over they should be wiped down with sanitizer to reduce the chance to spread any germs. My room did have the sheets changed and the towels changed however nothing was wiped down as a cleaning measure. Watch when housekeeping is doing this and it will show the truth I write about.
Overall, do not select this hotel to save money. When staying in a hotel you want your stay to be pleasant not bothered with any issues. After paying almost $1000 I regret even...
Read moreI recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Best Western Jamaica Inn for a two-night stay, and I feel compelled to share my overwhelmingly negative experience.
My troubles began on the first night when I discovered a bedbug crawling on my bed. I promptly notified the front desk staff, who, to their credit, moved me to another room. However, my relief was short-lived as I woke up the next morning with a bed bug bite, leading me to question the effectiveness of the hotel's pest control measures.
To add insult to injury, my morning breakfast in the hotel's dining area turned into another nightmare. As I was eating my meal, a cockroach crawled up my arm from the table I was sitting at. This unsanitary encounter left me utterly disgusted and questioning the cleanliness standards of the establishment.
In my frustration and disappointment, I decided to request a refund for my two-night stay, which had set me back nearly $500. Despite the severity of the situation and the clear negligence on the part of the hotel, the process of obtaining a refund proved to be an uphill battle. After numerous discussions with the hotel manager, I was begrudgingly granted a refund for only the first night, totaling about $200.
As a long-time Best Western customer, with close to 40 nights spent at various Best Western hotels in NYC over the past two years, I can confidently say that this experience at the Jamaica Inn was the worst by far. The presence of bedbugs and cockroaches, coupled with the unsatisfactory resolution of my complaint, speaks volumes about the overall hygiene and management of this establishment.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against staying at the Best Western Jamaica Inn. It is a disgrace to the Best Western brand and a clear reflection of inadequate management. My hope is that potential guests will be spared the misery I endured during my regrettable...
Read moreI stay here quite often! The last I stayed was in March. For a lower - end hotel (compared to like a Marriott higher end hotel that offers valet and the like) it's GOOD! I stay here a lot when I'm working for business and it's affordable too. For those who are a fan of super quick hot hotel breakfasts I enjoy their eggs (I spice them up with pepper), pancakes, toast and they have juices like apple juice and cranberry and other things too. Parking is decent (don't forget to put your slip in your dashboard after receiving from the front desk). I have no hardcore complaints.||My last stay there (out of having stayed there 10 times previously) there was a room next door BOOMING bass music at like 1 in the morning which I was highly discomforted by because I had an early church service the next morning and needed to really get good sleep. I called the front desk and they went to see about it (it took them a while) but the noise eventually died down. The same night I had arrived and saw my room service accidentally took out my hotel shower gel and the front desk dude went and gave me a brand new bottle. They're pretty accommodating and they always hook me up with a toothbrush and toothpaste because I'm always forgetting my own lol!||Another instance (previous stay) I had scratches on my car from having parked it in the lobby. Minor scratches but it was clear someone was rushing and had smeared my car with their pant. The manager told me to file a police report (which I never did because of my hectic schedule) and offered to look through the footage for me. I never followed back up with them, but my point in saying this is that they're pretty accommodating. Although I never followed back up the manager (that was on me) he was still willing to look through the footage for me to identify...
