Popped in for lunch, as I saw they offered takoyaki on the menu, and I've always wanted to try it. I got the appetizer selection of the takoyaki and the pork gyoza. The gyoza arrived first, and it actually turned out to be the star item of my meal. The filling was perfectly savory, and the soy sauce paired very nicely with it. The pan sear on the gyoza was also excellent, giving just a slight crispness to them. Honestly, I'm already thinking of popping by for another quick bite of their gyoza in the near future. The takoyaki was warned to me by the waitress that they were piping hot, so I waited until I finished my gyoza to try them, and she was not kidding. Even with several customers coming and going, bringing in the cool February air with them, that first octopus ball was still surprisingly hot. And that's a good thing, as it showed how freshly made they were. The flavor was fairly subtle; I'd say the sauce on top was where most of the taste laid. The outside was nicely fried, while the inner dough was very soft and doughy (my understanding is that's very common when a restaurant makes them fresh, while pre-made balls will be firmer and more bread-like). The octopus was very tender, which was another good sign of freshness, as no one wants rubbery, frozen octopus. So also a very nice item. The dining space is fairly small but very cozy and relaxed. Lots of anime posters and vinyl figures, if you're looking for that vibe. Definitely would recommend checking it out. And I absolutely would recommend getting some gyoza for yourself; they really were very good.

I finally got around to ordering from Naruto ramen, after passing it every single day. This is a tiny restaurant on Broadway, with bar styles seating and some small wooden tables indoors. They also have some high top seating options in their outdoor dining shed area. I ordered the lunch special over the phone and my order was ready in 15 min. I got the miso ramen with the half curry appetizer. From a quantity perspective, I was quite pleased since the appetizer itself took up a whole takeout box. The curry flavor was good, but didn't contain very much in it besides the sauce. Most of the appetizer was rice in the curry sauce , topped with one broccoli floret and two takoyaki balls (one was squid I believe and the other was chicken). But I couldn't be too sure since there wasn't a description on the menu of what was on the half curry appetizer. The miso ramen had it's pros and cons. Pros were that the portions were ample, the ramen chewy and soft at the same time, and the chasu was amazing. The broth itself wasn't super fatty but still rich, which is what I personally like. The con was that there was a lot of broth compared to ingredients (which might be an issue of getting takeout). The broth was also really salty, so I wasn't able to slurp down all the broth. Overall, the takeout experience was positive and I'm hoping that the other ramen soup bases are more to my liking.

Since I was in the neighbor looking for a place to have lunch I came across this this ramen spot and started to explorer the menu a bit and the food looks great. Upon entering the restaurant the hostess greeted me and suggest that I sit by the desk where it would be cooler then sitting at the counter. She also suggest that if I want to look at the menu I kindly decline since I told her I know what I want to order. Where I have placed was spicy Naruto ramen mega and a takoyaki When my order has arrived everything was hot and fresh and I was pleased how everything has tasted. When the ramen came I had to sip on broth BOY was I surprise with it it was balance of sweetness and spicy blended together . It was a good broth and raman but I was thinking why would I want to eat something like this on a 110 degree weather. The portion was perfect and the ramen was perfectly cooked. I would definitely come back to this restaurant again to eat again.

This comment is specifically for the UWS location. The food is okay, flavor is a bit lackluster, portion sizes are good but I would not recommend to come in the later part of the evening as the night shift lacks quality service. I didn’t catch her name but the waitress with the long silver/grey hair had horrible customer service skills. Not sure if this was due to cultural differences but when I tried to call in today to speak with a manager I couldn’t, so here’s a negative review.Service started off friendly. We noticed the two waitresses starting to clean off the other tables around 9:25pm and started to prep for closing. On several occasions the silver haired waitress was rude and snarky not only to us but another group of women as well. At around 9:45pm they brought out everyone’s checks unrequested saying the registers were about to close, basically passive aggressively asking us to hurry up and pay our bill. Again there’s a better way to handle this versus rushing everyone out without apology. Because of her rude behavior I decided not to tip the waitress. When she saw it, instead of asking if there was anything wrong with the service, she informs us the bill only covers the food, it doesn’t cover tip as it’s not included. I told her I was well aware and confirmed that I didn’t not want to leave a tip. She then starts going off to her co-worker in another language as we walk out. Yes it sucks not to get a tip but had I left only $1 I’m sure that would’ve been worst and I’m not tipping rude...

My 4 friends and I went to here for the first time because I’ve never tried ramen so we wanted to have a dine in experience we walked in excited the hostess quickly brushed us off with a wave of the hand with a 15 min wait so we waited out in the front for about 5 mins we went inside and she seemed to have forgotten about us and went to clear the table and before we sat down she asked a if we were going to tip but we weren’t sure so we asked her to repeat herself just to make sure and she repeated are you going to tip taken a back we just responded with yes we are so we sat down ahe quickly rushed our order I didn’t hear her ask anyone else if they were going to tip so it was a little unsettling here comes the kicker so we finally get our food (which was okay a little on the bland side but pretty good nonetheless the fried chicken was burnt but aside from that it was pretty okay ) we eat we chit chat I go to pay for our food so I asked for the check I paid she asked me for a tip once again I stated that my friends would take care of that I was a little annoyed by this point so regardless my friend went to give her a tip we felt 10 was decent tip even with the repeated asking of a tip the hostess then went and to get the check and said the tip should be 14.50 or something like that my friend was very taken a back but gave her 5 any way I don’t think that’s how. A service should be run at all especially if we are...
