They will try to give you a bad rate at first but if you negotiate with them then they might give you a better rate. The fact that they exercise this practice makes them a bad place to exchange in my opinion. I went in to exchange around $100 to Turkish Lira. The current rate, if you Google it, as of writing this review is around 29.94. Almost all other exchanges I have spoken to were quoting me around 26.8-27.0.Not a great rate but I understand they are doing business. When I entered their place and asked them they told me the exchange rate is 25.00. I was on my way out of their shop when they asked me how much I want. I said when I spoke to other exchanges they quoted me between 26.8 - 27.0. They ended up giving me a rate of 26.8. I am definitely never coming here again. The only reason I went in is because their reviews were somewhat better than the others. But then again reviews can be fake. First of all I usually buy euros at my local bank but my friend recommended this place so I did try it out.

I brought Euros from the store just a couple hours ago. The transaction was smooth and easy. The teller was nice. You need to bring valid ID. They gave 50 bills to me which is ok. Actually I would like to have some 10 and 20 bills too.

About exchange rate. This store 350 euro is 416 usd. On the same day I ask chase bank, 350 euro is 421 usd. Which is not a big difference for me. Because MTA round trip is already 5.80 usd.

So I would recommend here if your local bank didn’t have euros and you need...

Beware! I had a Norwegian 500 Krone note that I wanted to change into USD. Checked the website, yes they accepted that currency, walked 25 blocks to get there....and was told that they cannot exchange the note!!

Apparently, 500 NOK, which is around $45 US, is to large. Thankyou Big Apple Forex.....why not mention that on your website!
