City Fresh Market — Attraction in New York

Extremely unprofessional cashier and staff, especially towards the elderly. They harass, bully, taunt, and insult elderly limited English speaking customers. They service is horrible, the staff rude and unprofessional, products over priced, bags are flimsy. I watched as an elderly women , who spoke limited English, as she asked for another cheap plastic bag, which breaks as soon as you leave the market. A rude unprofessional cashier, which could be her grand daughter, taunting and demanded her to say please! Don't anyone have respect for the elders anymore?

Unfortunately, when that same elder women, who spoke limited English went back, that same cashier informed the rest of the staff it was her. They once again taunted her and made her shopping experience unbearable!. This conduct needs to be dealt with. Have you ever heard of the customer, is always right. If not, then you should at least respect your elders! If you are and elder who's speak limited English, and you are not Hispanic, then you might want to think twice before...

I went in with my sister and mom about half an hour before closing and they were already rushing to close. I needed to get some pepperoni but the guy at the deli counter said it was closed. I figured they closed that earlier so I went to grab a couple of other things and packaged pepperonis. Almost get hit by a worker pushing a cart. Never said excuse me or apologized for almost hitting us. Passed by the deli counter on the way to cash register and see the guy serving another customer after telling me it was already closed and avoided eye contact even though I was right there. To top it off, the cashier was rude, scanned things super quick, threw them at us and threw the receipt without saying anything. We packed our own things and left. We've been shopping here for years now, definetley my go to store. Since it carries all of the Hispanic products used in my cooking why go anywhere else? Always find the items I use on sale, as everywhere else prices on certain items can be slightly higher so you either buy it or you don't. The staff here has always beyond helpful no matter what it is, from items being too high on the shelf or checking the back for product they are all so accommodating. Yes I agree the aisles are narrow but is what it is, I usually stop by here Saturday early in the morning so it isn't that packed. If you're shopping in a weekend in the middle of the day then yes loads of people. Since I live close parking isn't an issue, I just walk it & get my groceries delivered. Again no issues with...
