The Manhattan Bridge deserves more than beeing a famous foto background in Washington Street/ Brooklyn! From the footpath you have a great view of the Brooklyn Bridge, the skyline and the backyards near Chinatown. Very few people, mostly locals. The subway is just beside the footpath, so it is loud. But it gives you the real NYC vibes.

This pedestrian walkway is a perfect place to get great pictures of the NYC skyline along with the Brooklyn bridge. The walkway does have an extra chain link fence above the railing which impedes the view. There are several areas that jut out where you can stop and take pictures from though.

The manhattan pedestrian bridge is an awesome destination and a useful infrastructure that connects manhattan and Brooklyn with a 30 minute walkway. The views are absolutely stunning and be it not for the iron caging on the side of the walkway, the pictures would be amazing too. You can take great pictures, though it would require you to squeeze through the bars with your phone. We happened to be there when it was raining and honestly it was pretty disastrous since we didn’t have an umbrella and there is virtually no cover all the way...

Absolutely breathtaking experience walking across the Brooklyn Bridge! The views of the Manhattan skyline, the East River, and Brooklyn are simply stunning. The pathway is well-maintained and easy to navigate, with plenty of space for pedestrians and cyclists. I loved learning about the bridge's history and significance through the informative signs along the way. Whether you're a tourist or a local, this is a must-do experience. Be prepared for crowds and take your time to soak in the sights and sounds of this iconic landmark....

Honestly, not a great experience. The pedestrian path on the Manhattan Bridge is noisy, smelly, and not enjoyable at all. You’re walking right next to the subway trains, and the constant rumbling makes it hard to even think. On top of that, you’re under the car lanes, so it’s dark, loud, and the views are mostly obstructed by fencing.

It’s also a long and pretty boring walk with very little charm. I strongly recommend choosing the Brooklyn Bridge instead it’s scenic, iconic, and way more pleasant...
