A very nice park in an area that lacks greenspace, Dag Hammerskold Plaza would benefit from protecting the new trees planted in the last few years. Many inconsiderate people allow their dogs to pee and poop on the trees and walk on the tree pits. Both of these activities cause the soil to degrade and compress which is the leading cause of young trees death. Can we not get metal fences around the trees? Signs that say...

A hidden gem within the East Side of New York Manhattan open public area with casual bench seating and a beautiful view of the United Nations If you walk along the park you'll catch casual goers That may be either playing their instruments or painting or spending time with their families the statues are also quite interesting and a pleasure to see With a few trees and planters scattered around around The park has a...

You want to eat lunch in a nice park without loud behavior around you, well then this is it. Go there. Enjoy there. Stay...

Today I was walking around mid town east and the UN area just enjoying the day. I stopped by Oasis Juice to get a coffee but they were closed for Memorial Day. The Plaza has Oasis on the first Ave end and Katharine Hepburn Garden at the Second Ave end. Unfortunately everything is under construction but there are still lots of public benches to take a rest.

When I visited it a few years ago it was nice. Now I couldn't even bare to sit there as it was all filled up with homeless/suspicious characters and smelled horrific. As the temperature warmed up so did the funk. Avoid it like the plague.

The most relevant and accessible Stephen King landmark in Mid-World. A beautiful spot to enjoy a quiet respite from the City. Fountains weren't running yet when I visited in April, but the Turtle is there.
