Such a narrow garden that you might just think it was landscaping for Dag Hammarskjold Plaza if you didn't already know it was there. It's a lush, secluded, peaceful little garden with a winding path the length of the plaza. In the middle of the path, there's a bench once owned by the great American actor Katharine Hepburn, who lived in Turtle Bay for several decades. Fantastic for photographing plants, pigeons, house sparrows, and robins.

Passed by the edge of the Katherine Hepburn garden on 47th and 2nd ave. Now under renovation so not much to see right now. Hopefully it will be completed and open soon.

A hidden gem I had walked past for years and only noticed recently. An urban escape filled with inspiring quotes from Katharine Hepburn.

Pleasant to sit on her bench and feel gentle breeze on a perfect, low humidity, Summer day. Street noise is buffered, unfortunately leaf blower was working during lunchtime visit. Great quotes on stepping stones of the pathway. Pathway not suitable for walkers...

Beautiful garden in the middle of Midtown. Love the promenade and the green plush during spring and summer. They also have some organic farm market every Wenesday.

Too bad it's a bit dirty from the birds...
