I ordered their signature Berger sandwich on the menu since it’s the only one, which I understand it’s an Italian restaurant and not a burger specialty, but tried their other appetizers and pasta from my other party member.and I asked for everything on the burger and hold the cheese only.my poor burger arrived with nothing other than the meat and pieces of yellow terrible tasting smushed pickels.and the buger itself tasting very bad.the meat is dry and has synthetic metallic taste let alone the too sweat bread.any way i called the server asking him that the onion and tomato juices oozing when touching and mixing with a hot juicy meat bring the taste of a burger. and I asked and insisted on everything on my burger.but he told me he agrees with me on how a burger should be ,and this is the way he eats it too with lettuce , tomato and onion.but this is how they serve it here.nothing but cheese and meat. And his manager dictate that and will not budge to change it or add choices or accommodate other ways. So basically mr steve jobs of la pecora joint had it figured out for all of us weirdo’s who enjoy onion and tomato that is a taboo at la pacora and will mess the sanctity of his un tasty genius patty he created for this establishment that is an average italian restaurant.and it was a sin to accommodate weird people sending them a slice of onion and tomato as burger should be.and he dictate the coke drink you order too.it’s only the tiny tiny little 4 ounce bottle unless you want start collecting small size glass coke bottles on your table? New York is the capital of tast food and good mannered food managers that gave the city it’s food reputation,, but i wonder how real new Yorkers let incompetent like this manager to be here instead of managing a lumbar yard or something.i leave that to them and to this city visitors hopefully one day they file for a taste change ,or more taste accommodation, short of changing this la pecora...
Read moreNext up is La Pecora Bianca Midtown, a sunlit brunch spot we discovered on a warm Sunday, where my friend and I met up with a lady we had connected with a couple of weeks prior. The city felt gentle that morning—light spilling through the streets, a calmness beneath the usual hum—and stepping inside, the café reflected that same ease. The interior was charming without effort, and the outdoor seating in particular felt inviting, a quiet pocket to enjoy both food and conversation.
We started with a flat white, flawlessly crafted, its silky texture and balanced espresso immediately grounding the meal. The coffee set the tone, warming and composed, a perfect companion to the culinary delights that followed.
For our brunch, we shared: • Lemon Ricotta Pancakes – soft, airy, and bright with citrus, accompanied by a luscious blueberry compote and a dollop of whipped crème fraîche. Each bite was layered, sweet yet balanced, light yet indulgent. • Avocado Toast – elegantly presented with cherry tomatoes and pickled red onions, creamy and fresh, a classic elevated through subtle seasoning and attention to detail. • Eggs Norwegian – smoked salmon and tomato hollandaise over perfectly cooked eggs, rich and savory without ever feeling heavy.
What struck me most was the harmony between food and atmosphere. The space itself felt thoughtfully composed—comfortable, warm, and luminous, with the outdoor area offering a quiet pause from the city’s rhythm. Jordan, our waiter, was attentive, kind, and unobtrusively engaged, making the experience feel personal and welcoming.
La Pecora Bianca isn’t just brunch—it’s a crafted experience, where the attention to detail in both the plates and the surroundings invites you to linger, savor, and enjoy. It’s one I would return to without hesitation, particularly on mornings when the sunlight is just right and conversation...
Read moreI recently dined at this restaurant; unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. I've been a fan of this restaurant chain, but this particular location needs some serious attention, especially in terms of service.
First and foremost, the service was subpar, and our waiter was notably rude. The hostess at the door didn't exactly set a welcoming tone when we checked in; she seemed quite annoyed.
As an Italian restaurant, I had high expectations for the quality of the pasta, but it fell short of what I've come to expect from this cuisine. It was disappointing, to say the least.
Adding to the disappointment, our waiter neglected to offer us bread and olive oil, which is typically a delightful part of the Italian dining experience. Instead of making us feel welcome, it seemed like they were annoyed by the amount of food we ordered.
What saddened me even more was the way they treated our children. We simply asked for some blank paper for our kids to draw on, and we had brought our coloring supplies. However, the staff gave us a hard time and seemed to judge us for wanting to keep our kids occupied. This is unacceptable service and demonstrates a lack of understanding of how to accommodate families.
To top it off, when we inquired about the Wi-Fi, the waiter informed us that there was no Wi-Fi and that it didn't work. In this digital age, reliable Wi-Fi can be important for various reasons, and it was frustrating to find it unavailable.
In conclusion, while I've had positive experiences at other branches of this restaurant chain, this location needs a lot of training in terms of customer service. I recommend sending their employees to learn from their Bryant Park Location, where excellent customer service is consistently provided. It's my hope that this feedback can help the restaurant improve its service for...
