I would like to make it clear that the entire staff from cashiers, baggers, food stocking, managers and so forth are all extremely pleasant and helpful at this location. Friendly and do the best they can with what seems to be a continuously busy or when it is busy it can be a bit overwhelming especially the way all Morton Williams have you line up for checkout.
However, the quality of food not only at this store but many others is almost downright terrible.
To the point where they sell moldy deserts premade and packaged with sell by dates that haven’t passed making me wonder the type of appropriate care and safety they take into proper refrigeration, temperatures and handling for all their food. Not only pre packages from separate vendor but also their “fresh” vegetable and fruit section which if you can find something thats not wilted or you can visible see the slime from example spinach bag or plastic box you are lucky.
I honestly only go here when wholefoods has closed by 10 and I’m in need of something immediately that can’t wait otherwise I avoid avoid avoid.
The only positive about entering the store is truly the staff. Again happy, friendly and there to help. However, you can tell they are feeling the pain and are just taking orders from senior management who’s overlooking the numbers and not at...
Read moreGood selection of deli items and prepared foods. But terrible employees and the saddest wine selection I've ever seen (literally 3 choices, all $6.99, from the same company, with twist tops). When I asked an employee where the wine was, his annoyed response was, "End of aisle 2," and walks away. Didn't look at me, didn't acknowledge my presence. My bad for not noticing the 2' x 3' display at the end of an aisle. And when I checked out, the cashier looked half asleep/hungover. When she bagged my groceries, it was like she was trying to do it in the worst possible order (milk on top of peaches and plums, bananas on top of bread, placed a cheesecake upside down so the whipped cream on top got ruined, placed pasta salads on their sides so olive oil started to leak onto other items, and shoved a bag over to the corner to make room for other items, causing a glass bottle to fall on it's side, and I had to check to make sure it wasn't broken because it sounded like it had). I'll be looking elsewhere in the area for my grocery needs. I liked the selection. But if I'm throwing down $50 for 2 small bags of groceries, I don't want to deal with folks who seem to hate...
Read moreUnfortunately, the prices have gone sky high, but you know we love the people that work there with an exception many of us are in the neighborhood and have made friends there. However, from time to time, I have gotten very bad chicken and therefore have gotten into the habit of puncturing the cellophane to smell it. Last month a butcher I don’t know yelled at me for doing it and I told her I didn’t want to get stuck with bad chicken when I got home and sure enough the chicken was bad well this week I bought chicken again and I didn’t puncture the cellophane because I didn’t feel like being yelled at and sure enough it was bad chicken and I was too tired to go back. A very famous chef of mine who is now retired told me today he got stuck last week as well with bad chicken so it’s not my imagination and the attitude of the butcher is there even if you do return it they’re very arrogant unfortunately otherwise all the department in that store I love lovely people and I really love going there. Unfortunately the chef will never return so you lost a...
