Iâve been coming to this salon since I was a child. From Haircuts to blowouts to colors. So receiving the terrible service I did on 06/07/2021 was unacceptable. I have dreadlocks that Iâve been growing for 8 years. I have a tapered cut around the perimeter of my head and about 4 inches shaved in the back. I go to the same barber Miguel every time I come from California. He was not patient, complained about being tired, REFUSED to take my direction. Then cut my hair so unprofessionally. He literally cut 15 locs almost completely off. He was looking away sometimes. I truly shouldâve stopped him. When the cut was done, I paid and went outside. Looked in the mirror on the side of the building and notice one Lock was hanging off. I politely went in and told him that he has to be careful with hair like mine because he actually cut my hair. I swear he looked so awkward and shrugged like âsorryâ. Didnât offer anything⌠continued to do his next client⌠I went outside again and noticed more and more dreadlocks hanging. My gf was SHOCKED. My stomach started hurting. I immediately got sad. Not even angry. This is the salon Iâve been going to since I was 9. Now treating me like I meant nothing. The owner, Enrique who use to cut and color my hair, asked me who did that to me. Once I told him Miguel, he basically started gaslighting like it was partly my fault and NONE of his. Saying things like âi canât control the workers; im just the ownerâ. But he still asked if he could fix it. While trying to POORLY fix my hair by interlocking my dreadlocks with my other locks. The pressure and weight from my locks being intertwined was too much so I ended up cutting them off once I got home. I canât believe Iâm saying this⌠but Iâm NEVER GOING BACK. That was the most hurtful experience. Enrique ask how much did I pay. He handed me my money like the money meant nothing. It was so disrespectful and...
Read moreI had been going to Enriques for a few years. I actually had found one great barber who usually delivered a really great haircut (Caesar, skin fade)
After quarantine and the shop reopened, I went in with a whole new hairstyle and length. I made the mistake of letting a âtrimâ become a really unhappy haircut, which was upsetting, but not the reason I wonât go back.
I must have had my AirPods in my lap and dropped them as I got out of the chair. I realized I no longer had them once I got home and I tracked them back to the shop with âLocate myâ
I figured it was no big deal and since I had been going to my barber for months at this point he probably held them for me.
It turns out I went back to ask him and he looked around but didnât see them, then asked one of the women on the other side of the shop. They were going back and forth for a while (in Spanish) and it became sort of awkward because it felt like a âyes or noâ question of if they had come across them.
After a few minutes of them speaking, the woman walked to the back and came back and held her palm out with my headphones to me without a word. No real acknowledgement. Clearly my barber clearly expressed to this woman that Iâm a regular of his and she was messing with his business, but I could tell it was a question of if she really wanted to give them back to me.
Granted, I should have had put them in a secure place, but I couldnât help but leave with an icky feeling.
If I was foolish and left them and not come back so quickly, so be it, but that is bad business and not how a regular client should feel after a service is provided.
So long story short I wonât be going back...
Read moreFor my wedding, The owner himself attempted a style using my daughterâs hair that had just been cut right at the salon. I have Alopecia so the plan was to use my daughters hair as a cover up. The style was terrible, it did not suit me at all. When I tried to explain why I didnât like it, he tried to embarrass me in front of other patrons saying, âWould you prefer your bald spot exposed?â By then I was in tears, but I tried to compromise by making an appointment to come back. The guy had the nerve to be even more upset when I asked for my daughters 15 inch length hair back. He really though I was going to let them keep my daughters hair ?!? Did I also mention my daughters haircut was horribly uneven. The lady doing her hair parted it to the left and then proceeded to cut her hair leaving it uneven on one side when parted in the middle. Way to service us for my wedding!! Very disappointed. If possible I would...
