So I had previously rated this store 4 stars for great customer service from the ladies that work the floor attending the customers. Today I am giving it a 1 star due to my level of disappointment with the cashiers. PLEASE IF YOU ORDERED SOMETHING ONLINE DO NOT GO INTO THAT STORE. THE CASHIERS DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING AND NEED BASIC PROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING. They're rude!! And unprofessional. I ordered for the first time through AfterPay. (Gives you credit to make purchases) basically pays for your items and you pay AfterPay every two weeks. I came into the store to exchange but the item was already sold out so I wanted to return it. I mentioned I had used AfterPay as the method of payment. I was informed they needed to call AfterPay in order to return it. So instead of calling I was told to wait on the side until that one cashier at the register takes care of the people on the line. I waited about 20 minutes before I asked how much longer, at this time there were 2 people at the register, one if them a man who rudely told me with a nasty attitude that I must WAIT for the other cashier because she was the one dealing with me. HE ALSO MADE A COMMENT SAYING "WHY I USED AFTERPAY ANYWAY" WHICH WAS NOT HIS BUSINESS AS HE DID NOT KNOW MY SITUATION AND THE ITEM WAS PAID FOR ANYWAY !.. I FOUND THIS TO BE SO DISCRIMINATORY AND UNPROFESSIONAL... About 40 minutes in, the cashier "taking care" of me took another customer which also needed to make a return and she needed to make a call as well. So after all the waiting I had already done. She made the call for that customer first, then got upset and gave me attitude!! Because I complained to her asking when she's was going to make my call and about how long I was waiting already. SHE IMMEDIATELY GAVE ME ATTITUDE AND RUDELY TOLD ME I COULD MAKE THE CALL MYSELF. WHICH I WASN'T TOLD AT THE BEGINNING !! When she finally called she told me calls were going to voicemail so she could not process my return after I was in the store for 1 hour already. I asked if she could call their store customer care to find out why because that did not make any sense to me. I purchased through the finish line so as a customer I should be able to return the item to the same store!!! THE ICING ON THE CAKE INSTEAD IF ASKING ABOUT THE RETURN SHE ASKED FOR THEM TO EMAIL ME A RETURN LABEL INSTEAD SO I COULD DROP THE ITEM FOR SHIPPING AFTER I'M IN THE STORE IN PERSON WITH THE ITEM AND I OBVIOUSLY CAN NOT PRINT THE LABEL WITHOUT A PRINTER WHILE IN THE STORE. INSTEAD OF JUST PROCESSING MY RETURN WITHING THE STORE. I HAD TO RETURN HOME WITH THE ITEM AFTER WAITING ONE HOUR IN THE STORE !! WHICH CLEARLY SHOWS SHE DID NOT KNOW WHAT SHE WAS DOING!! Which was very upsetting and disappointing. I called the finish line customer service myself after getting home to ask about the issue and was informed they did not understand why the cashier did not process the in store return. I also called AfterPay and they called the store themselves because they did not understand why the return was not processed since AfterPay has nothing to do with the return. Please train your STAFF!!! Or get new ones !. THESE ARE BIG REASONS TO...
Read moreThe worst customer service ever, I’d like to give 0 star. I went to buy shoes and one lady that works on the floor section attending customers literally snatched the sneaker away from my hands just saying I couldn’t try on the shoe in display without saying me excuse me or saying something nice. She just went over me right away and snatched the shoe I had. She told me something like you can’t try on that shoe you have to ask for it and I answered her; Do you see any policy sign around here that say that? She said something like no but you should not do that and she told me what size you want and I said the same same is that shoe. Why you’re not allowing me to try that shoe on? She told that are not the same. So, she just went away without telling me what she was going to do next, if she was going to bring me another shoe or simply it seemed that she didn’t had any interest in helping me out or attend me. Then my husband asked another girl that was very polite and nice that was in a counter passing the shoes to customers to try them on. My husband ask for the type and size of shoe that lady took me away by snatching it. Guess what? They had to give the same shoe because there was only one pair of sneakers in that size and that one was the only shoe was in display the same one that disrespectful the lady literally snatched from my hands. I bought that pair of sneakers and also bought another pair of sneaker for my son. I don’t know if a black race lady that was by the entrance with a blonde wig called the other lady to come and take the shoe from me. They never helped me out, they never apologized to me, they were very unfriendly making me feel not welcomed. That so sad because I always go to that store and every time we go I always spend from $260.00 to $600.00 and up every time I go. They make us feel that when we request customer service instead of helping us out, we feel that we are talking to the walls, some never answer or provide any important info. Not all but some seems that they are mute. It seems that there are not managers or someone in charge on the floor that can help customers or guide the workers on floor or they have never received any kinda training. Also, the music was extremely loud and therefore very annoying also for the type of music the play in that place, (like rap very loud) We told the lady at the checkout point that the music was too loud that if somebody could lower a little bit the volume, she told us that that level of volume was the lowest, Although I don't believe them I truly believe You guys could lower the volume a little. Honestly I don’t feel welcomed there it is so sad that you have a very bad customer service. She saw me with contempt and she was very impolite. I’m thinking seriously about choosing another...
Read moreWorst customer service ever. I wanted to return a pair of shoes that were purchased 5 days before. I walked into the store, and asked an employee where should I go for a return. We were standing in the middle of the store walkway between shoe displays and the employee asked to see the shoes. I asked "Right here? shouldn't we go somewhere else?" Because traditionally in normal stores with normal employees who have at least half a brain would know that you should probably start a product return close to a cash register, or at least a counter which would aid a customer in being able to set down the item and not have to clumsily fumble around a shoe box and open it for an employ to inspect it. Then the employee took the shoes from me, and walked to the sales register without a word. That ended all hopes of communication skills. Then this young employee with all the power of Zeus proclaimed that the shoes had been worn and that I could not return them, however I could exchange them. I told him that they had not been worn. But I suppose with all his "special training" and keen eye to be aware of all his surroundings gave him the right to say Yea or Nay, almost as if it was his shining moment in emperor history. There was no offer of speaking with a manager, and I didn't want to waste any more of my time with this naïve person who seriously needed to be put on a time out or something. I tried to read his name tag and he told me his name with a smart ass attitude. Lesson learned: DO NOT GO HERE if you are a human being. I went to the Manhattan location and they accepted my return with no problems. Dear Finish Line, Customer service should be a number one priority when hiring sales people. At least try to hire people that know how to communicate. That's probably going to help you in the long run. And to the idiot child salesman, try to understand that customers need more than Neanderthal grunts and incomplete sentences. Next time pull on your big boy pants and realize that maybe a store manager would know how to handle certain situations better than you. Stick to pressing the cashier buttons and sliding credits cards. That should be safe...
