OurBus — Attraction in New York

We had scheduled a charter bus to transport our group to Ottawa for a hockey game, and the experience was far below expectations.

The bus was 40 minutes late, causing us to miss our hockey game. This was especially frustrating as we had planned an early departure to ensure that we would arrive on time. Unfortunately, despite our careful planning, I was only given 15 minutes' notice by your dispatch team that the bus would be late. This left us waiting in the parking lot for an extended period, with a group of 12-year-olds, which was both inconvenient and frustrating.

Additionally, we had arranged for a 6:30pm departure, but the bus ultimately left at 4:30pm, making the trip 2 hours shorter than anticipated. This modification should also be a consideration for a refund.

To make matters worse, I had to follow up numerous times to receive confirmation of the itinerary, as well as the bus driver information. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive either until yesterday afternoon, and when I did, the information provided was incorrect. When dispatch told me to contact the driver this morning, I mistakenly called the wrong driver based on the incorrect details. This delay required further follow-up to get the correct driver’s information, adding to the frustration.

Given the inconvenience caused and the fact that we did not receive the service we paid for, I am requesting a refund or compensation for the issues we encountered. I hope this matter can be resolved promptly.

UPDATE: The company refuses to rectify the situation and just feeds excuses after excuses and refuses to address the issues at hand. They took advantage of a group of kids who worked very hard to fundraise...

We took OurBus on an early Tuesday morning (7:35am scheduled) at the Philadelphia Mills/Franklin Mills. If you needed to park your car, parking is free.

The bus came about 15–20 minutes early, as it said it would. They check for your name on the reservation list(I booked the tickets online)and good to go….the bus leaves ON TIME, so don’t be late!!

The bus was neat and comfortable: there were outlets near the seats, so you can charge your phone or laptop(make sure you have a plug, just in case), they also have safety belts if you want to buckle up, a comfortable amount of legroom(being almost 6 feet tall, that was great), adjustable armrests. The bathroom was small and clean. They also had complementary bottled water, which is a nice touch.

The bus drivers were Friendly, they drove efficiently and safely and got us to our destination on time, Both to and from New York.

The prices were very reasonable, but they vary day to day( our tickets were $7 each way on a Tuesday, but they might change and be slightly higher or lower On certain days and holidays). They add the usual tax and a small additional fee for gas, which I think is fair. Also: keep an eye out for coupon/discounts!🙂

This is my first trip that I considered travel by bus. Please listen carefully. Chat Agent Ishan was amazingly helpful hand on and trying hard to solve the problem, it’s mean the world to me. Very much appreciated will definitely use Ourbus from now on. On July 31 I travelled back by our bus, the bus was cleaned, on time, free water, wifi available, the driver greeted welcome indicated protocol what to do and not to do, in a way that make us laughters. I had poor experience from Grayhound with no compromises refunded policy even though the facts are out of control subway delayed no matter how well plan you have make and left home early to get to Port Authority and poorly informed from Grayhound Port Authority station. The Agent at Grayhound booth is open late, impatient, and unable to help. As a traveler, we can not predict what’s going to happen and a long day and night waiting for uncertain to happen. To me when we found pleasant, smooth, easy, supportive systems. There is a blessing for journey! OurBus ie worth every Penny and time of you spend.
